DEI Client Engagement

The Sr Dir, Client Engagement role is responsible for demonstrating a return on investment in human capital through improved business outcomes. Reporting directly into the Head of DE&I Strategy and Programs leader this role will create and execute an engagement strategy with Diversity Equity & Inclusion as a differentiator in improving financial wellness for plan participants.

Key Responsibilities and Duties
  • Coordinate with core business to deliver best practices and business impact - promote financial wellness.
  • Leverage diverse team concept to reflect client base and build better solutions.
  • Partner with The Institute to conduct and promote DEI related research and thought leadership.
  • Responsible for institutional best practice awards, Employer of Choice recognition and promotion of the TIAA DEI external brand
  • Create new, and foster existing external partnerships and affinity relationships.
  • Develop and deliver TIAA and industry-specific DEI strategy and programs to the company's institutional clients in the higher education, healthcare and other non-profit sectors.
  • Lead the research, design, and delivery of DEI content and programming tailored to the needs of our client industries to be used for consulting engagements, client-facing communications, webinars, DEI Council, a proprietary client-facing DEI library, and conferences and associations.
  • Perform significant due diligence on emerging DEI trends and issues in order to create elevated thought leadership to engage clients and the industry.
  • Support client-related DEI work, such as responding to DEI-focused portions of RFPs and financial inclusion efforts.
  • Partner with the business to assess and measure client engagement impact in client reviews and win/loss survey.
  • Bring the full TIAA enterprise into the service of our clients and support their long-term success and help TIAA establish its preeminence as an inclusive retirement services provider aligned with our clients' values while working with those clients to develop the next generation of our world's diverse leaders.

  • Experience creating thought leadership on emerging DEI trends and issues
  • Strong executive presentation design and delivery

Related Skills

Base Pay Range: $155,000/yr. - $200,000/yr.

Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).
