Primary Purpose: The Sr. Director, Digital Lifestyle Marketing will own the operations, execution, and project management for daily marketing emails and clientelling for Tapestry's family of brands in North America. This person will be the leader for direct messaging, responsible for driving increased revenue by optimizing and improving email marketing effectiveness. They will manage a team of email marketing managers dedicated to each brand. They will be responsible for ensuring that the email channel is meeting business expectations and that the email team is collaborative and high performing.
The right candidate will have experience and expertise in email marketing- specifically in the areas of email operations, email strategy/planning, and email metrics and analytics, as well as team management and project management. This person will also have comprehensive understanding of SMS as well.
The successful individual will leverage their proficiency in Marketing to:
  • Lead a high performing team of email and SMS managers responsible for driving the business by optimizing email campaign performance
  • Work cross functionally with brand marketing teams, and marketing technology teams to improve email marketing performance while aligning with brand strategic goals
  • Develop, oversee, and manage the email operations process (including segmentation, development, and deployment)
  • Oversee email operations on a day to day basis ensuring near flawless execution
  • Project manage email capability improvements inclusive of segmentation, personalization, and dynamic content in email, SMS, and clientelling messages
  • Plans and manages a rigorous A/B test calendar, tracking performance and sharing out results/recommendations to the wider teams (digital, brand, creative, merchandising) to drive future email strategy
  • Partners with brand leaders to define cross functional reporting KPI's
  • Reports on email campaign performance on a weekly and monthly basis, sharing out findings and actionable insights with the wider team
  • Serves as the subject matter expert on Tapestry email marketing - leading discussions and decision-making between cross-functional teams

The accomplished individual will possess...
  • 8+ years of email marketing experience in retail, including managing an email calendar, driving email strategy and reporting out on performance
  • 5+ years of team management experience
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel
  • Proficiency in end-to-end use of email and SMS marketing software (Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Oracle Responsys, Klaviyo, Sailthru, Braze)
  • Comfortable using e-commerce analytics tools for marketing measurement (Omniture, Google Analytics)
  • Meticulous organization skills and attention to detail
  • Strong collaboration skills and ability to work in a very cross-functional role
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and project management skills
  • Effective at multi-tasking and problem solving in a deadline-driven environment
  • Aptitude to think strategically but act tactically at all times
  • Positive person who wants to make a difference in a growing organization
