LTCG is a leading provider of business process outsourcing for the insurance industry, managing over 1.3 million long-term care policies for the nation's largest insurers. We also provide clients with unique risk management insight built upon our proprietary long term care databases.

The Sr. Director, Enterprise Data Management is an agent of change with a strong understanding of data concepts and modern data techniques while defining and driving the LTCG data transformation to cloud technologies. This Director is responsible for setting and executing the overall data analytics strategy for LTCG and driving innovation through data analytics, aligning enterprise data strategy to business priorities, and promoting an enterprise-wide data-driven culture. This leader builds and leads strong data architecture, DBA and Cloud Data teams focused on analytics, governance, data management, data storage, data integration and reporting and analytics
• Partner with Product Management to lead the analysis of industry technology and market trends to determine their potential impact on the enterprise data architecture strategy and make appropriate recommendations
• Actively engage and challenge others to identify new ideas, ways to leverage technology and new trends in the technology market to foster innovation
• Ensure LTCG is always benefiting from leading edge technology and tools
• Lead the evaluation, proof of concepts, negotiations and selection of products and tools to support our data strategy
• Demonstrate the business value of the data solutions put in place as an enabler of strategy formulation, and as support for technology innovation, which drives the organization's top and bottom lines
• Responsible for proactive and effective performance management of staff, including coaching, mentoring and corrective action, when required
• Work with Data Scientists, App Dev, Product Management and Enterprise Architecture teams to assist with data-related technical issues and support their data mobility infrastructure needs
• Foster open communication at all levels of the organization while building strong relationships with business and IT partners
• Owns and drives the enterprise data management migration to cloud technologies
• This leaders' responsibilities will be broken out as follows:

40% Management: This leader hires, organizes, trains, develops and motivates the enterprise data management teams in the areas of data governance, data support and cloud data strategies to drive the LTCG enterprise data strategy which will include:
• Data Architecture Team
• DBA Team
• Data Warehouse Team (Snowflake)
• Data Services/Integration Team
• Feed Transport Team
• Offshore Development Team
• Operations and Reporting Team

30% Strategy: The leader takes a concept, transforms it into a strategy and lays out a program to execute the strategy to include:
• LTCG Enterprise Data Strategy focusing on cloud and cloud migration of data for Snowflake, Azure and AWS
• Establish and manage an enterprise data governance model creating standards and putting process in place
• Partnering with the Enterprise Data Product Manager to provide technology solutions to business capabilities
• Partnering with our data Conversions team to bring efficiencies while understanding their long-term roadmap and data needs while aligning it to the enterprise data roadmap

25% Hands on:The leader drills down into detail to solve data problems and articulate solutions for both clients and LTCG

5% Other:Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, systems analysis or a related field of study
  • 15+ years of experience in at least two IT disciplines (such as application development, data warehouse, infrastructure architecture, middleware, database management, etc.) in a complex multi-tier environment
  • 7 + years of progression leadership experience
  • 5 + years' experience building processes supporting data transformation, data structures, metadata, dependency and workload management
  • 3+ years of experience is cloud technologies i.e., Snowflake, AWS, Azure other
  • Proven track record of driving and executing an enterprise data strategy
  • Experience with Data Warehouses, Data Governance, Data Analytics, and/or Database Modeling
  • Exposure to multiple, diverse technologies and processing environments


Must have at least 3 years in-depth experiences in cloud technology (AWS, Azure, or GCP) solution engineering

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proven experience in building and motivating teams
  • Experience in the agile methodology
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically and execute tactically in migrating capabilities to the cloud
  • Experience in leading an organization through an enterprise data transformation
  • Experience with the following technologies is preferred: Java/.NET, Angular, CI/CD, Microservices, REST services, Containers, API Management tools (Apigee/Mulesoft, etc.)
  • Strong intellectual curiosity in exploring and learning new technologies, technology trends, forthcoming industry standards, new products, and the latest solution development techniques; ability to leverage this knowledge to formulate technical solution strategy.
