We have recently consolidated our brands, re-assorted our product lines and are seeking an individual to continue this transition and re-build the portfolio . You'll work in collaboration with Product Development, Marketing, and Business Development (among others) to deliver the highest quality House Brands to the market.
Job SummaryÂ
The Senior Director of House Brands is responsible for managing the strategic roadmap from product origination, development to launch on iHerb.com to gain market efficiency and optimize the portfolio value. This individual will lead a dynamic team providing high-level vision and guidance for product development across all categories.
This highly cross-functional role is responsible for the overall development and execution of a cohesive, innovative and integrated House Brands strategy and architecture across all channels. This individual will lead Sourcing, QA, Product Formulation and Trends to ensure end-to-end brand integrity and consistency.
Job Expectations:
- Create, develop and execute the Supply Chain plan for new and existing product production and manufacturing of iHerb’s House Brands
- Responsible for the overall strategic direction of the House Brands by developing and directing short and long-term plans, positioning, assortments, quality, packaging and initiatives to grow the portfolio and positively impact brand profitability
- Provide high-level leadership, direction, mentoring and guidance to the Product Development team for all categories (VMS, Bath, Beauty, Personal Care, Grocery)Â
- Direct formula development and reformulations ensuring products are in compliance with regulatory, security and quality requirements and standards
- Translate brand strategies into brand plans by implementing and researching cost effective product manufacturing solutions
- Develop and maintain strong vendor relationships while leveraging and negotiating investment returns
- Establish performance specification, cost and price parameters, market application and sales estimates
- Manage the pricing strategy for brand & product portfolio, and monitor product performance against growth & gross margin target
- Collaborate closely with the Brand Marketing Team to optimize marketing and promotional opportunities
- Partner with the Business Development team on B2B planning, development and growth
- Prioritize and manage multiple projects with a high level of detail in a fast paced entrepreneurial environment.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Must have a passion for growing a business
- E-commerce branding leadership, preferably in the Vitamin and Supplements industry
- Must have strong interpersonal skills indicative of communicating with a diverse range of individuals
- Strong understanding of production and manufacturing vendor managementÂ
- Track record of delivering innovative and creative solutions to drive portfolio growth
- Create, organize, and analyze project related data in an effort to communicate information effectively departmentally
- Strong collaboration and communication skills with a high degree of of EQ and the ability to manage expectations relative to deliverables
- Demonstrated Success defining, launching, and managing products
Experience Requirements:
- 8+ years of business management experience in product development, operations and managementÂ
- Consumer product management experience is a plus
- Marketing and Brand Management experience
- E Commerce background (experience with House Brands/Private Labeling a plus)
- Product lifecycle management in the areas of Supply Chain, Sourcing, Production and Distribution

Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in business management, marketing or related field preferred or equivalent years of experience required
- MBA or similar advanced degree is preferred, but not required
