Sr. Director Human Resources
Job Description
WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:
The Sr. Director, Human Resources will serve as a business partner to the global enterprise functions of Digital & Technology, Legal, Finance and Enterprise ISC, Strategy and Business Development, and Commercial Excellence. They are responsible for partnering with their leaders to develop and execute a people strategy that aligns with the enterprise strategic vision and mission. The Sr. Director, HR will report directly to the Chief Human Resource Officer and dotted line into each functional Leader. This person will provide strategic, candid, and insightful counsel to each Functional Leader. As a hands on leader, they will lead and manage an HR Business Partner & HR Coordinator and Facilities Lead. This role is responsible for facilities management of the St. Louis Park office.
In this position, you will get to:
- Improve talent and organization processes resulting in building our capabilities and developing bench strength to meet current and future business goals
- Support and influence senior executives as a strategic thought partner on topics such as organization design, change management, and talent guidance
- Lead an HR team as a strategic business partner, coach, and change agent ensuring an inclusive culture, policy, processes and practices are aligned with our values and driving engaged team members
- Operate in a highly matrixed environment where you have the opportunity to solve unique and complex business issues
- Participate as a member of the HR Leadership Team (HRLT)
- Develop and be accountable for a budget as well as the effective operation of the nVent headquarters facility and staff
- Collaborate and partner with Global HR leaders across business segments and enterprise HR groups (e.g., I&D, Compensation, Benefits, Talent Management, L&D, Talent Acquisition, PMO, Communications, Technology)
YOU HAVE:
- A Bachelor's Degree, Master's Degree preferred
- 10+ years of progressive HR experience with at least 5 years of managerial experience
- Demonstrated collaboration and influence skills across all levels
- Experience assessing organizational needs and solutions
- Demonstrated experience leading complex employee relations issue resolution
- Ability to consult, with excellent communication, and influence effectively in various settings and audiences globally
- Ability to succeed in a fast-paced global environment and to balance multiple accountabilities
- Demonstrated developer of leaders, including HR
- Proven ability to be a successful strategic thought partner to senior executives
