Position Summary:
The Sr. Director, Investor and Strategic Relations is a high-visibility strategic partner and will serve as the primary point of contact with our board of directors in responding to investor data requests and preparing ongoing data content for investors. This role involves a blend of strategic planning and analysis to support decision-making processes and drive long-term financial health and growth, and will have an immediate impact on our companywide productivity by helping set the direction for product line leaders. This role will help also lead storytelling with our board of directors through the board deck ownership, and leadership alignment, leadership coaching/meeting prep, and slide creation.
The ideal candidate will have proven experience in a business leadership/management role, with a special focus on executive-level advising, project execution and key interdepartmental collaboration. Ultimately, the primary function of this role is to ensure everything runs smoothly throughout company operations for their executive leaders.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Provide a compelling investor roadmap by synthesizing multiple data sources, analyzing data, developing various financial analysis and through applying frameworks to present to senior leadership and board of directors to help drive business decisions
- Develop investor confidence and belief in the company's vision and strategy for delivering value
- Manage equity research and investor relationships
- Analyze and present financial trends, competitive behavior, shareholder issues and anything that could impact the business
- Monitor the competitive landscape and prepare analyses of peer and industry activity, including summaries of financial valuations, operational and strategic developments
- Collaborate with business leaders to develop enterprise strategies, evaluate business opportunities, and provide recommendations for actionable next steps
- Support the scoping and execution of high-impact projects such as acquisitions, new market launches, and transformational initiatives
- Understand strategy and business operations to execute on new growth opportunities
- Build and maintain sophisticated financial models, conduct data-driven analyses, and create a compelling storyline for M&A and financing activities
- Works with exec team on positioning and messaging from their function and develops presentations for the executive team (board presentations, leadership meetings and townhall presentations) as well as sets the agenda for the meetings, coordinates the content and logistics, as well as any follow up metrics and feedback.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business or related field preferred
- 7+ years of experience in corporate strategy, investor relations and finance
- Experience with Mergers and Acquisition (M&A)
Skills & Abilities:
- Excellent communication skills and ability to formulate and deliver insights around business problems in a thoughtful and persuasive manner to executives
- Ability to independently execute and lead projects with minimal guidance.
- Self-starter, detail-oriented, takes ownership of work quality and tight deadlines, and pursues continuous improvement
- Be proactive, analytical, and able to problem-solve and propose resolutions
- Proven ability to multi-task, manage, and prioritize multiple tasks and projects
- Demonstrate the highest degree of honesty and integrity
- Detail oriented, organized, and dependable
- Strong computer aptitude with proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
