Sr. Director, Marketing Effectiveness (MSP or Toronto)
Job Description
This role will manage our overall marketing scorecard and reporting across critical Marketing KPIs and reporting in general through interlocks across our marketing infrastructure. Critical to this role is thoughtful analysis of our reports to draw insights that can be used in key decision making around our marketing planning, resourcing and delivery process.
As we look to transform marketing, and align it closely with our business, this role will be pivotal in streamlining our marketing performance framework across all of marketing, ensuring that there is alignment across reporting, metrics, etc. agnostic of Segment, Region or COE.
About the Role
In this opportunity as Sr. Director, Marketing Effectiveness, you will:
- Serves as owner of our single marketing scorecard, inclusive of quantitative and qualitative marketing results, insights, and recommendations
- Positions as the strategic lead of the marketing data and analytics function, including reporting and analysis roadmapping / delivery, and measurement standards
- Is the connection point within the business by building and nurturing internal credibility and alignment through close partnership with Finance, Marketing, Digital, Technology & Data and Commercial Excellence.
- Analyzes global, enterprise trends in spend, activity, and results to recommend stop/start/continue activities to improve the return on investment and profitability of future campaigns, supports with how best to implement these changes
- Supports efforts for Marketing to become a more 'test-and-iterate' function. Communicates aggregated findings (those which can be scaled) paired with actionable insights and recommendations.
- Measures marketing operations efficiency and enablement performance impact for transparency and optimization analysis.
- Oversees Marketing Finance Analysts to support in the effective management, allocation and return of Marketing budget
About You
You're a fit for the role of Sr. Director, Marketing Effectiveness if your background includes:
- Four-year college degree in business or marketing related field. MBA preferred.
- Minimum 10 years experience or 8 years experience with MBA
- Direct experience in marketing or demand generation fields
- Strong understanding of data management platforms and data architecting
- Fluency with corporate finance data flows, processes, and analysis
- Highly proficient with reporting and data analysis, managing reporting requirements, dashboard builds
- Demonstrated experience with reporting across Salesforce.com, Tableau and BO
- Proven experience navigating complex global and matrixed businesses
- Track record of engaging senior leadership and being a catalyst for change
- Demonstrated experience testing and iterating to optimize lead and channel performance.
- Direct experience in the B2B industry a plus

- Strong business processes acumen, especially in data, analytical methods, and finance

- Clear understanding of marketing processes and capabilities as well as demand gen strategy
- Strong familiarity with marketing tools and infrastructure to support demand gen processes and lead flow
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, in highly matrixed organization, with skill, attention to detail, tenacity, and a focus on results.
- Success in strategy and integration of new marketing technologies
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills
- Must be an individual with initiative and a solutions-orientation.
