Job Description

The Senior Director of Marketing is responsible for the entire marketing operations function including personnel, budget, and corporate marketing strategy. This position works closely with senior leadership to develop strategies that will increase brand awareness, drive traffic to our website, generate leads for our sales team and ultimately grow revenue. We are seeking a strategic leader, who can also execute on a tactical level.

This is a remote position with preference for the Ann Arbor, MI area.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the development and execution of strategic plans that achieve business objectives across multiple channels.
  • Establish the budget, set goals, recruit, lead, train, evaluate, and manage the Otava marketing team and oversee all aspects of marketing operations.
  • Promote brand awareness and maintain a consistent message and voice across all of Otava 's marketing, sales, and corporate communications.
  • Develop, metrics, and interpret key marketing metrics and reports to track performance and adherence to plan.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of integrated communication campaigns that promote awareness, brand preference, customer acquisition and retention.
  • Set the strategic direction and oversee the creation and implementation of lead-generation campaigns across the entire mix of digital and traditional marketing campaigns to keep top of mind with prospects.
  • Monitor all aspects of our online and digital marketing programs, including website development, SEO, SEM, blog, multimedia, and social media campaigns.
  • Develop public relations campaigns and media relationships to drive the visibility of the company in both local and national markets. This includes managing editor and analyst relationships, interviews, speaking opportunities, and corporate awards.
  • Promote Otava as a thought leader in markets we serve through educational marketing, white papers, speaking engagements, webinars, & partner relationships.
  • Manage the production of marketing and sales collateral such as data sheets, presentations, and customer success stories.
  • Other duties as assigned to help the Otava team achieve its objectives.

Experience:

  • Minimum 7 years of experience (non-agency) in a marketing leadership role, managing marketing teams in the B2B enterprise IT market, including budget responsibility, people management, and related activities.
  • Proven track record in developing and executing successful marketing campaigns
  • Experience in the cloud, security or data center industries, preferred but not required

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strong analytical skills and experience using data to inform marketing decisions
  • Demonstrated project and budget management skills
  • Strong business acumen with a broad understanding of fundamental business principles
  • Analytical problem-solving skills with impeccable attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate and build a consensus in a high-pressure environment
  • Talent development and leadership
  • Demonstrated successful track record in developing marketing campaigns and measuring results against objectives, including ROI.
  • Depth and breadth in the understanding of the IT industry (cloud services and data center experience strongly desired).
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, interpersonal, and decision-making skills

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in marketing, advertising, or related field.
