Primary Purpose:
The Sr. Director, Product Management, CXone Suite LoB, is responsible for recruiting and developing a highly productive global Product Management team. This position will direct and manage product development activities from design through production release. S/he makes use of both in-house and off-shore resources as appropriate to meet key milestones. Works with R&D and marketing groups on the product roadmap. Delivers project schedules and timelines. Defines and adheres to product development lifecycle. Is responsible for timely product releases and quality of the product. Manages people, relationships, and expectations in a dynamic environment. Ensures effective and efficient collaboration between engineering and other departments, especially marketing and professional services, in setting product direction and ensures successful client delivery.
Financial Responsibilities:
- Adherence to Product Management operational budget.
- Ensures proper levels of staffing to accomplish corporate goals with minimal overhead.
- Proper allocation of budget between internal and external staffing to optimize throughput.
- Tracks and reports software capitalization.
- Ensure standards and practices used by PMs are industry best practice and meets the security and compliance needs of the company.
- Ensure that PMs do not infringe on patents or trademarks
- Maintains ownership of profit and loss of the company’s assigned product/solution set.
- Recommends new components, tools, and technical partnerships required for successful product development which will require budgeted funds.
- Required to run cost analysis and market research to determine the impact a new or revised product will have on the market and our overall sales.
- Ensures the GTM process is followed and supported to bring solutions to market on time and within budget.
- Works with one or more budget lines. Â
Main Responsibilities:
- Develop programs, policies, and procedures that assure consistent and replicable product management methods
- Participate in project scope, schedule, and cost reviews
- Understand product capabilities and limitations
- Identify and implement ways to improve and promote quality and demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness
- Establish working relationships with external vendors
- Hands-on experience in all phases of the product development cycle from concept to market launch
- People management experience that demonstrates an ability to motivate and lead product/project teams
- Integrate customer requirements through the product effort for championing next-generation products
- Determine staffing needs, recruit, select, and train staff to meet the goals of the department
- Quickly gain an understanding of the company’s technology and markets; establish yourself as a credible leader
- Responsible for new product software development and quality
- Release scheduling
- Keeps abreast of new technologies and has demonstrated knowledge and experience in various technologies
- Manage 3rd party consulting partners implementing products
- Prepare and submit weekly project status reports; prepare monthly reports outlining team assignments and/or changes, project status changes, and forecast project timelines
- Follow the company Code of Ethics and Nice policies and procedures at all times.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with customers in and outside of Nice.

Education Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Business Information Systems, Marketing, or a similar field or equivalent work experience required. Â
Experience Requirements:
- 10+ years of product management experience with formal product management techniques, tools, and principles involved in planning and delivering new software products and services.
- 7+ years of management experience in a software environment.
- Management experience in a matrixed organization is preferred.
- Management experience in a hybrid or remote model is preferred.
- Requires excellent oral and written communication skills in English including vocabulary, spelling, composition, and grammar.
- Ability to communicate effectively with different business units about technology and processes.
- Experience with a SaaS and/or Cloud deployed product set.
- Solid engineering foundation indicated by a demonstrated understanding of product design, life cycle, software development practices, and support services.
- Mastery of engineering concepts and core technologies: development models, programming languages, databases, testing, and documentation.
- Requires in-depth knowledge of and experience with agile & SCRUM development methodologies.
- Experience with P&L accountability.
- Proven track record of delivering high-quality software products.
- Experience coordinating the work and competencies of product staff within functional project groups.
- Lead, while supporting project management to coordinate multiple interrelated projects within the group as well as setting priorities.
- Requires ability to personally interact with technical resources and listen carefully, taking time to understand the points being made, and asking questions where appropriate.
- Experience managing one’s own time and balancing many different projects simultaneously.
