TheSenior Director, SMB Lead is responsible for running the industry strategy andbusiness development position for the SMB industry sector within SiemensDigital Industries Software business unit. This is a growing sector withinSiemens Digital Industries Software, with a direct influence on the future ofdeveloping new SMB solutions. The strategy developed by the leader in thisposition drives our solution development (make, buy, partner) and go to marketprioritization. The position requires working with customer CXOs, VP/ChiefEngineer/Director of Engineering and Manufacturing and with Siemens DigitalIndustries and Digital Industries Software executives, sales teams, internalproduct development, and marketing teams.
TheSenior Director, SMB Industry will be responsible for:
Developinga SMB specific business plan that covers market trends, competitiveevaluations, solution & technology gaps, and recommended priorities andactions for sales. The person will also have accountability for working theserecommendations and actions with country managers and account teams, channelsales and digital sales across the globe to optimize market growth andexpansion. The business plan must also address M&A priorities and targets.The industry leader will be responsible to handle and communicating theindustry vision and strategy to the global SMB industry team and will work withother industry teams to understand and support their SMB strategies.
SolutionDefinition requirements including crafting our product development priorities,technologies, and portfolio investments. In this portion of the job, the personwill have accountability for defining product direction and investmentpriorities based on market trends, driven assessments, SaaS solutions, customerinputs, and industry knowledge. The individual will define and work withSolution Directors and the various product groups to help outline and definesolution improvements and priorities, and work with product group's managersand technical teams to define technical issues, gaps, and specific requiredsolutions for the SMB industry.
Go-to-market,including developing "Go to Market" strategies and messaging in partnershipwith the marketing team. Additionally, the individual will have responsibilityfor speaking at major internal Siemens events and external industry events andforums across the globe. The individual will work with other members of theorganization to develop templates and solutions that leverage industry standardmethodologies to help customers shorten their deployment times and realizebusiness benefits quicker. They will also work with other industry verticals tohelp support their go to market efforts for SMB's customers in theirindustries.
Salesand Customer Engagement: Work with global sales (partner resellers and digitalchannel) teams to enable success with strategic partners and application ofindustry solutions and apply knowledge and standard methodologies across theglobal sales teams. This will include supporting sales team enablement of thevision for digital transformation for the SMB industry and supporting digitalthreads and solutions, engaging with strategic customers to understand theirbusiness needs and requirements, and applying industry knowledge to supportsales engagements.
Qualificationsinclude:
- Bachelor'sDegree in engineering, program management, and/or production is required. AnMBA or other graduate degree is desirable.
- Minimum15 years of shown experience within SMB or related industry is required, havingheld senior leadership positions.
- Knowledgeof SMB industry business processes and practices is required.
- Experiencein digital technology driven process improvement and re-engineering inengineering and manufacturing processes is required.
- KeyAttributes for this role include critical thinking, driven assessments,discernment, technology foundation, business development.
- Executivepresence is required, with shown success working with internal and customerexecutives.
- Excellentverbal, written and presentation skills are required.

Thesalary range for this position is $197,700 to $355,900 and this role iseligible to earn incentive compensation. The actual compensation offered isbased on the successful candidate's work location as well as additionalfactors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevanteducation/training.
