We are seeking a highly motivated, self-directed, and experienced individual to lead embedded and enterprise software architecture vision and strategy across the MMS Infusion product portfolio. As a Sr. Director - Software R&D in our MMS organization, you will have direct responsibility for the software platform strategy, high level system and architecture design as well as driving technology choices and strategies for the Global Infusion business.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Understand high level market, product and system requirements and translate those into software architecture vision and strategy.
• Define and be accountable for the software architecture of all major platforms, products and the vision and strategy for how they all come together.
• Lead a global SW team with experience in both embedded systems and enterprise SW
• Collaborate across all software development organizations within MMS to ensure that there is continued adherence to the long-term vision and strategy for software.
• Participate in technical due diligence and technical evaluation of internal and external software products and solutions.
• Provide expertise and guidance on trends in the technology industry and incorporate those into future product and platform strategies within MMS.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor of Science in Computer Science/Computer Engineering or related field required. Master's or advanced degree strongly preferred.
• At least 15 years of growing responsibility in R & D technical engineering roles, with extensive and successful experience in product development, with at least 10 years in a senior technical leadership role required.
• Experience influencing large software development organizations with direct management responsibility
• Proven experience designing large scale enterprise software platforms that are currently in production and operating at scale. Extensive experience in both on-premises enterprise software design as well as designing and developing cloud services.
• Proven experience in developing embedded SW products, pushing them through production release and maintaining design control compliance which meets FDAs standards.
• Experience with AWS, Google Cloud Platform and/or Microsoft Azure. Experience with leading teams that are developing object oriented language applications and associated development tools. Firmware integration is also required.

• Outstanding written and oral communication skills required. Experience leading global teams is a strong plus.
• Ability to mentor and develop talent for current and future needs and will positively align talent decisions to strategic plans.

• Demonstrated capability for critical thinking and solutioning
• Willingness to travel up to 20% (domestic and international).

There are many factors, such as location, that contribute to the range displayed. The salary offered to a successful candidate is based on experience, education, skills, and actual work location. Salary ranges may vary for Field-based and Remote roles.

$199,600.00 - $359,300.00
