Sr. Energy Storage System Projects Engineer

This position will be required to work on-site 5 days a week.

• Provide project team guidance to a team of engineers throughout the whole project life cycle: ensure their development process is documented accurately and projects are completed on time
• Build detailed schedules of the team’s activities and support all phases of development, which includes prototyping, designing, testing, and validation of the energy storage system related components
• Provide technical electro/mechanical insight or knowledge during all phases of development
• Coordinate procurement activities, analyze bids, and continue working relationships with new/existing suppliers
• Lead daily or weekly meetings to continuously track the engineering team’s current tasks and verify their alignment to Program Management’s Integrated Master Schedule
• Raise potential delays or blockers to the correct Point of Contact and find solutions to prevent delays from extending further
• Report timely updates to the team leaders regarding the team’s development process
• Accurately communicate the team’s needs to external groups within the company
• May require up to 30% of domestic and international travel
• Other duties as assigned

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field
• A minimum of five (5) years of experience as an electrical engineer, battery engineer, project engineer, or related field (an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered)
• Work experience in developing Battery Modules/Packs, Battery Management Systems, Battery Software/Algorithm development, other battery related components, and/or pilot line builds or mass production
• Experience with tracking and management tools like Jira or other for sprint cycles and Scrum activities
• Excellent presentation skills in executive briefings
• Ability to prioritize tasks, allocate workload and responsibilities, and ensure proper communication with other teams
• Work under high pressure and tight deadline scenarios
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Hands-on, proactive, and excellent at problem identification and problem solving
• Team-oriented with excellent attention to detail
• Expert at Microsoft Projects, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Excellent organizational skills, team-oriented thinking, and attention to detail
