Job Summary

Responsible for planning and crafting new software and web applications. Analyzes, tests and assists with the integration of new applications. Coordinates the documentation of all development activity. Trains non-technical personnel. Assists with tracking performance metrics. Integrates knowledge of business and functional priorities. Acts as a catalyst in a complex and crucial environment. May lead teams or projects and shares expertise.

Job Description

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with technologies such as Java, J2EE, Python, Spring, Spring MVC, JDBC, SQL, Web Services, Mongo DB (not all technologies are required but desired)
  • Experience building application on microservice architecture (RestAPI, GraphQL, RPC, GRPC etc.)
  • Experience working on projects relating to large-scale, highly available customer-facing products and services.
  • Familiarity with distributed systems, asynchronous messaging, and networking protocols
  • Experience with several open source applications, frameworks, and libraries
  • Familiarity with front-end technologies (like JavaScript and HTML5)
  • General DevOps knowledge: CI/CD, Terraform, Vault (e.g. Concourse/Circle CI/Jenkins)
  • Excellent presentation & interpersonal skills

  • Write effective, scalable code
  • Develop back-end components to improve responsiveness and overall performance
  • Integrate user-facing elements into applications
  • Test and debug programs
  • Improve functionality of existing systems
  • Implement security and data protection solutions
  • Assess and prioritize feature requests
  • Coordinate with internal teams to understand user requirements and provide technical solutions
  • Database work, including modeling, performance tuning, and sophisticated queries on Teradata, Hadoop, MySQL, and NoSQL databases
  • Keeps current with technological developments within the industry. Monitors and evaluates driven applications and products. Reviews literature, patents and current practices relevant to the solution of assigned projects.
