Cardinal Health JARVIS team is seeking a Sr. Engineer within our Pharmaceutical segment. The Sr Engineer will be responsible for supporting the effort to define what technologies are going to be used for the JARVIS eCommerce Platform. This Sr Engineer will be a pivotal contributor to the overall architecture and design of The JARVIS eCommerce Platform. The ideal candidate is an individual with customer focused mindset, hands-on technology skills, positive work ethic and a collaborative mindset who is willing to learn and adapt to evolving business needs.

This role will help deliver features, functions and new capabilities on our eCommerce platform. The platform is the #1 form of engagement for customers of Cardinal health and consists of ordering, digital marketing, reporting and mobile capabilities. The Developer will be a part of a digital transformation and modernized customer experience journey at Cardinal Health. Part of this journey includes the maturation of DevSecOps, CI/CD pipeline automation and Cloud native processes and technologies

Information Technology oversees the effective development, delivery, and operation of computing and information services. This function anticipates, plans, and delivers Information Technology solutions and strategies that enable operations and drive business value.

Application Development & Maintenance performs configuration or coding to develop, enhance and sustain the organization's software systems in a cross-functional team environment through adherence to established design control processes and good engineering practices. This job family programs and configures end user applications, systems, databases and websites to achieve the organization's internal needs and externally-facing business needs. Application Development & Maintenance partners with business leaders, investigates user needs and conducts regular assessments, maintenance and enhancements of existing applications.

This role is going to be supporting the effort to define what technologies are going to be used for the application.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in related field preferred or equivalent work experience.
• Experience working with data across multiple systems, defining integration patterns, and data models
• Working knowledge of Java, Cloud Architecture (AWS/GCP), Microservice Architecture
• Proven leadership ability is preferred
• Data Modeling: Helping to define the correct data model (ex: flat, relational, dimensional, etc.) for each domain based on the data and the requirements on how it will be used.
• Data Architecture Patterns: Helping to define the correct data pattern for each domain based on the data and the requirements how it will be used (event driven, real-time, batch)
• Technologies for data movement: Familiarity with MW technologies in general - Kafka, Attunity, ETL, Boomi
• Technologies for data storage: SQL knowledge in general and familiarity with databases for each type of data model (ex: Teradata, DB2, PostGres, Mongo)
• 8 -12 years' experience in related field preferred
