We are seeking a Senior Engineer for our Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) technology platform who is experienced with integration technologies as well as business acumen, which are essential for success. Your experience and expertise with Tibco ESB technologies, C# (.Net), Azure Event Hubs, Kafka, API's, services, and cloud-based technologies, will help drive technology toward our business goals. The solutions you create will bridge classic systems with transformational on-premise, and cloud-based solutions throughout the entire ecosystem. As a Senior Engineer, you will work side by side with other developers and Product teams, designing, building, and implementing integrations utilizing Tibco and C# (.Net).

What you will do - Essential Responsibilities

• Work with fellow associates to understand the real-life challenges of customers and discover what they need to move seamlessly between the online and in-person shopping experiences.
• Collaborate with colleagues in product design, product management and systems architecture to develop experimental solutions and bring great ideas to life.
• Market your innovative ideas internally and evolve them according to feedback and critique within an agile environment.
• Stay on top of industry trends and best practice to continuously improve what we do and ensure our customer experience is the best it can be.
• Partner with Product teams to define technical solutions to business problems while promoting best practices.
• Design and develop integrations and applications utilizing ESB technology.
• Define and promote ESB development best practices.
• Implement continuous integration and DevOps practices, including automated testing.
• Develop robust monitoring and alerting.
• Create technical and support artifacts for applications and integrations

Qualifications and Requirements

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Decision Science, Engineering, Statistics, or a related field, or equivalent alternative education, skills, and/or practical experience is required and 5+ years of relevant work experience or
• Master's Degree in Computer Science, Decision Science, Engineering, Statistics, or a related field, or equivalent alternative education, skills, and/or practical experience is required and 3+ years of relevant work experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience as a software developer working with product teams.
• Working knowledge of programming languages/platforms such as C#, .NET, Azure, cloud-based SaaS, and PaaS solutions is preferred.
• Working knowledge of relational databases such as MS and SQL server are preferred.
• Experience with API design and integration is preferred.
• A degree in Computer Science or a related discipline
• Exceptional communication skills
• Strong teamwork skills, ability to learn quickly, excellent written and spoken communication required.
• 5+ years of retail industry experience, preferred.

Software Specific Qualifications and Requirements

Experience in the following required:

• 6+ years of hands-on ESB integration application development experience required.
• Working knowledge of programming languages/platforms using the Tibco suite of ESB products, preferred.

• Working knowledge of programming languages/platforms using C# (.Net), preferred
• Experience integrating on-premise and cloud-based technologies required.
• Experience working with Azure Event Hubs and Kafka, preferred.
• Experience working with version control systems (Github, etc.), build management and CI/CD tools (Rancher, ADO, Jenkins, Maven, etc.), and monitoring tools.
• Knowledge of REST APIs, SOAP, and JMS.
• Knowledge of JSON and XML concepts, frameworks and standards.
• Knowledge of relational databases required; SQL server preferred.
• Experience working with Agile and DevOps methodologies preferred.

Experience in the following preferred:

• Tibco Business Works (BW) 5.x preferred.
• Tibco Enterprise Messaging System (EMS) 8.x preferred.
• Hands on experience in developing and consuming REST endpoints in Tibco BW 5.x
• C# (.Net 6.x+), preferred
• Relational database technology development experience required; SQL Server preferred.
• Familiarity with security patterns for rest endpoints.

Work Location and Arrangement: This role will be based out of the Plano, TX Technology Innovation Center and have a Hybrid work arrangement
