Your Role at Baxter

As part a member of an R&D project team, the Senior Software Engineer owns the design of a complete module or sub-assembly of medium complexity, from conception to design and verification. As a Senior Software Engineer you will work in close collaboration with the project lead on assigned tasks, and provide inputs to design, cost and execution timeline to the new product project. You will also provides mentorship to other engineers on their technical issues, engages in design reviews and help resolves problems of medium complexity.

What you'll be doing

• Identify and develops new technical ideas. Evaluate them again requirements, quality, timeline and cost
• Consider customer needs and trends for projects and activities
• Design solutions that can be readily adapted to changes in technology and/or clinical use
• Incorporate business, market, industry and competitive knowledge into technical solutions
• Determine required tasks and completes on time with no supervision
• Identify and communicate potential risks with appropriate mitigations
• Challenge project teams and established work processes and proactively finds creative methods to reach desired performance levels
• Address routine technical problems by leading a team to brainstorm solutions
• Manage and support network infrastructure for multiple offices/environments
• Manage and provide domain administration

What you'll bring

• Bachelors Degree in Computer science or related field preferred
• 3+ years of engineering experience, or comparable experience
• 3+ years of experience network/system administration
• Strong Organizational and communication skills
• Proficient problem-solving skills
• Strong Interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively with others in a team environment
• Experience is preferred in Azure, Cisco switch/routers/Wi-Fi, Meraki appliances, VMware, Microsoft domain administration, powershell scripting
• Experience in the medical device industry and FDA Regulations is preferred
• Desired professional certifications in one or more of the following areas: Microsoft/Azure, Cisco, VMware, Security, Networking

We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all our employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. To that end, this position has a base salary range of $60,000 to $132,000 plus an annual incentive bonus. The above range represents the expected base salary range for this position. The actual salary may vary based upon several factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills/experience, time in the role, business line, and geographic/office location.
