Sr. Events Manager, World Tour
Job Description

Reporting to the VP, Global Events, this Senior Event Marketing Manager at Databricks will work closely with cross-functional stakeholders across the globe to develop our events strategy for the Data+AI World Tour. In this role, you will ensure the delivery of first-class, valuable, engaging, and high-impact events for our global audiences as an extension of the Data+AI flagship event. You will also act as a critical global counterpart that identifies opportunities to improve best practices, internal processes, and brand presence in order to achieve scalability and enhance our Databricks experiences across regions. Special projects may also include a mix of other essential conference components like the Data+AI global sponsorship program, onsite event management at the Data+AI flagship event, and more.
The impact you will have:
- Multi-year Data+AI Tour event strategy defined based on program/ROI analysis, business imperatives, program results, and stakeholder collaboration
- Fully optimized event marketing strategy derived from evaluation of target audiences, demand generation channel performance, tested hypotheses, and analysis of conversion rates
- Meet or exceed defined targets for all events to increase audience composition and volume, attendance rates and engagement, Net Promoter Score (NPS), pipeline/pipe-in-room (PIR), and down funnel conversion rates.
- Development of a broadly valuable content strategy that showcases the latest innovation in data and AI for our target audiences
- Enhanced sponsorship program
- Optimized workstream project management to ensure scalable and efficient operations
- Seamless flow of leads from events into marketing automation systems and to sales team stakeholders to maximize pipeline generation and conversion
- Strong relationships built with Executive, Marketing, Sales, and other stakeholders globally
What we look for:
- 8+ years of demonstrated success managing marketing events, of which 3+ years experience producing executive events in a high-growth SaaS startup
- Excellent communication skills, including strong executive presence
- Efficient project management skills to build cohesive plans, and create agreement across groups
- Must be metrics-driven
- Experience having pipeline building responsibility
- Experience with Salesforce.com, Asana, Tableau, and Marketo (building emails, lists and landing pages)
