General Summary:
This role leverages design thinking and human-centered design process to advocate for end users, shape our products and deliver best in class experiences. Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Collaborates across enterprise agile teams to connect dots focusing on strategic projects, customer insights, quality, and operations
- Guides teams through organizing problem-solving activities from the earliest phases of innovation through the transition into delivery
- Measures and communicates how experience strategy & innovation drives business results and help our partners imagine the possibilities
- Collects and organizes data from a variety of sources (primary and secondary research) to identify knowledge gaps and understand the current and ideal experience
- Ensures experience problems are clear, focused, and connected to our goals
- Creates tools and frameworks that contextualize insights so that teams can assess the experiences we are delivering and uncover opportunities
- Facilitates conversations with cross-functional teams of designers and experts to align on focus areas and key problems to solve, build empathy, generate, and prioritize ideas
- Communicates key experience design criteria and assist in the transition from strategic concept to solution design
Job Specifications/Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience.
- 5-8 years of experience designing experiences and interactions for complex web, tablet, and mobile applications.
- Expertise in experience design strategy with a track record of translating insights into new and differentiating experiences
- Experience and comfortability partnering with key stakeholders at various organizational levels
- Experience and comfortability leading complex, broad-scope strategic initiatives; working with collaborative, cross-functional teams
- Proficiency in business case development in whitespace thinking - communicating analysis, customer trends, opportunity, and business impact grounded in insights
- Creative storytelling abilities to connect the current experience to a vision for improvements that meets both user and business needs
- Expertise in creating thoughtful user-centered design experiences, leveraging a variety of problem-solving techniques
- Expertise in digital strategy tools & methods and able to communicate them to within the organization (e.g. enterprise experience frameworks, adoption, analytics, journey mapping, service blueprints, compelling visual story-telling, experience models and tools for relating interaction-level experience criteria to design teams)
- An interest in technology products and how they are designed, exploring new technology trends, and adopting new tools, software, and equipment
- Understanding of specialized UX skillsets (e.g. interaction and visual design, content strategy, front-end UI development,) and broad research skills (e.g. quantitative & qualitative research methods, desirability & concept testing, A/B testing multivariate testing)
- Demonstrates a mature ability to prioritize and manage time
