Blue Buffalo is on a mission to help pet parents love and feed their pets like family. By 2030, the Pet Segment expects to reach household penetration of 40MM and sales of $4 billion. To accomplish this, we will invest boldly to acquire and build loyalty with pet parents; win with cats & dogs in feeding and treating; develop growth partnerships with key customers; and build an end-to-end growth enabling supply chain.

This Senior Financial Analyst will have the opportunity to directly impact BLUE's growth trajectory and long-term business model through being the right-hand person to our brand managers on the Treating business!

In this exciting role, you will be at the helm of creating and driving commercial strategy with marketing. You will have direct business model ownership (SRM, HMM, Innovation Strategy), partner cross functionally with brand, sales, and supply chain regularly, work on exciting innovation and capital investment plans!

We are looking for a proactive and high performing Senior Financial Analyst that is excited about continuing to define and develop best in class finance partnership to Blue!

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Run your business to deliver against financial targets. Understand business performance and translate insights into actionable strategies to accelerate performance and mitigate risk.
• Lead monthly P&L forecasting (inclusive of Business Unit MBR leadership) and the business's annual plan.
• Provide financial leadership for your portfolio. Bring thought leadership and build business plans for growth, margin expansion, product inno/reno and resource optimization
• Drive and influence decisions with your cross-functional partners through a strategic, holistic financial & pet parent lens
• Provide financial leadership on Innovation projects, SRM and HMM plans, Capital Investment decisions.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• BA or BS in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field
• Years of work experience: 3+
• Curiosity and resourceful nature, growth mindset and willingness to collaborate and leverage relationships to make an impact.
• Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders to act (via effective communication and presentation to partner for impact)
• Track record of exercising fiduciary responsibility, being accurate and detail oriented (Risk Management)
• Demonstrated ability to be proactive, respond quickly, smoothly adjust to changes (Situational Agility)
• Able to establish processes, make process improvements, effectively organize own work (Process Excellence)
• Identify and extract the right data from financial systems to provide meaningful analysis (Analytic Proficiency)
• Experience with Microsoft Office Tools

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience in planning and analysis, budgeting and forecasting

ADDITIONAL CONSIDERATIONS:

• Minneapolis is the preferred location, however, we are open to 100% remote candidates with travel based on business needs.
• International relocation or international remote working arrangements (outside of the US) will not be considered.

Salary Range

The salary range for this position is $77900.00 - $117000.00 / Annually. At General Mills we strive for each employee's pay at any point in their career to reflect their experiences performance and skills for their current role. The salary range for this role represents the numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to, educations, skills, work experience, certifictions, etc. As such, pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range.
