A Brief Overview
The Senior Finance Business Systems Analyst supports core functions of the health system's business and financial applications to enable cost-effective, high quality, efficient, and safe patient care. This position will implement, administer, and support assigned systems under the minimal guidance of senior members of the team. The position will have a thorough understanding of managing business and financial operations within a healthcare environment. This position independently addresses issues and design decisions of moderate to high complexity with little or no supervision and delivers clear communication and documentation of complex concepts and issues related to applications, interfaces, data structures, and workflows across the organization. Act as a liaison between business teams, application vendors and IT for system integration, enhancements, and issue fixes. This position will be responsible for translating complex business needs and making recommendations. This role will provide guidance to the project team and facilitate key project meetings, communications, and working sessions.

What you will do
  • Act as a technology subject matter expert and clearly communicate technical concepts in business terms between and across the different groups while influencing outcomes.
  • Secure formal sign-off of project documents from technical partners and business sponsors
  • Lead complex software upgrade initiatives
  • Direct business requirements as well as design sessions for all new platforms and applications
  • Lead complex new software installations and enhancement requests and
  • Review Technical System Design (TSD) as well as QA Test Strategy/Plan documents
  • Maintain up-to-date project documents for all initiatives that include technical details, user expectations, project goals, work effort, accountability, and deliverables
  • Continually identify areas of opportunity for automation and lead internal initiatives to implement them
  • Proactively identify system optimization and enhancements and collaborate with vendors and other analysts in order to design and implement effective solutions
  • Proactively identify trends and detect/anticipate problems early and act as a higher level of support while mentoring and training junior staff members.
  • Supervise quality plus progress of documents developed by other analysts
  • Participate in and frequently facilitate/organize team and cross-team meetings and maintain appropriate meeting records.
  • Research issues and use independent analysis and judgment to produce solution options (including alternative solutions when necessary to address system limitations) to complex and/or controversial matters, including pros, cons, risks, benefits, costs, and unintended consequences
  • Ensure every issue is well researched, recorded and supervise workflow for entire open items
  • Perform ongoing review of system configuration and design options in order to make appropriate recommendations for system maintenance requests
  • Ensure smooth turnover of projects both at the initiation as well as the conclusion to Operations, Support Service, and Clients.
  • Coordinate efforts of project estimation for review with cross organization technical as well as business teams
  • Ensure project scope, business objectives and systems requirements are well understood by entire project team
  • Create and administer support event feedback mechanisms. Analyze results, make recommendations for support improvements, and integrate changes into the Help Desk function to improve first call resolution of issues
  • Participate actively in cross-functional teams established for advancing business processes and quality outcomes through effective and efficient use of business software
  • Assist to prepare detailed system requirements documents incorporating system impact analysis as well as use cases
  • Conduct reviews with systems analyst team along with all relevant stakeholders
  • Evaluate causes as well as effects of business problems, analyze options plus propose solutions
  • Collaborate with varied business or system analysts, project team and business performing through project and organizational needs
  • Involve in quality assurance bug resolution plus update Functional Specification document as required
  • Involve and manage change control procedure and issue related list


Education Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Computer Science, Business Management, or other related field/discipline from an accredited college or university or equivalent combination of education/work experience. Preferred


Experience Qualifications
  • 3+ years to 5 years of progressively responsible and directly related work experience required Required
