Sr. Financial Analyst

Job Summary:

Responsible for activities associated with legal entity financial close, reporting, account analysis, integration support, data cleanup initiatives, finance master data administration, and project support. This role requires broad knowledge and experience with accounting processes and procedures, financial systems, leading process improvements, and includes the preparation and presentation of strategic recommendations to management.

Essential Job Functions:

• Prepare and submit various monthly and quarterly legal entity reporting schedules
• Perform data integrity checks during month-end close and partner with colleagues across the accounting org to resolve prior to submittal deadlines
• Prepare and post journal entries as needed
• Perform analytical review of financial results and provide commentary
• Respond timely to inquiries from internal business partners regarding reporting results
• Drive continuous improvement, automation, and accuracy in monthly legal entity financial close and reporting process
• Lead project focused on intercompany cleanup and data integrity
• Prepare ad-hoc reporting and participate in special projects
• Manage financial master data in accounting systems and maintain official mapping tables and reference guides
• Responsible for overall corporate general ledger closing activities, such as opening and closing periods, running translation and revaluation, etc.
• Partner with IT to drive continuity between departments and streamline processes
• Assist and comply with both internal and external audits
• Communicate with co-workers, management and company personnel in a courteous, timely and professional manner
• Demonstrate regular attendance and timeliness in reporting to work, meetings and completing assignments

Qualifications/Education/Experience/Skills:

• Ability to work and interact well with others
• Must display strong attention to detail at all times
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
• 5+ years of experience in Accounting or Finance field required
• 2+ years of experience working with large ERP systems
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Ability to handle multiple tasks at the same time
• Must be able to work proficiently with Microsoft Office applications, with strong skills in Excel and experience working with large data sets
• Must be able to work outside normal business hours as needed to support financial close

Special Demands:

• Must be able to remain in a stationary position 90% of the time
• Position requires operation of a computer and other standard office equipment, such as a copy machine, calculator, computer printer up to 90% of the time
• Frequently communicates with employees in the office and at remote locations
