Sr. Financial Analyst

Allegion is currently looking for a self-starter who is willing to roll up their sleeves and dive into the details to drive results in our rapidly changing environment. This position is a great opportunity to use your technical financial skills, along with working cross functionally with many different departments.

The Financial Analyst will provide support to America's Channel Finance with responsibility for tracking revenue and profitability performance of strategic channel initiatives and producing timely and accurate financial information that is in compliance with GAAP and applicable company policy (FICAP). This role will help drive transformation within the organization by enhancing the team's analytics capabilities to provide meaningful information to the business to drive decisions. You will have exposure to the Sales Leadership Team, Americas Leadership Team, hands on training, and participating in our Lean Transformation.

What You Will Do:

Pricing and Profitability Tracking

  • Support channel finance efforts in tracking revenue performance of sales teams and strategic initiatives.
  • Analyze and provide management with clear insights into drivers of pricing performance. Analyze the impact of customer and channel initiative performance on business profitability and provide recommendations to management on actions and business cases to improve results.
  • Monitor revenue deduction performance and collaborate with functional stake holders to identify and take action towards margin expansion opportunities.
  • Track performance of critical vertical markets within sales structure; ex. single family and multi-family builders, discretionary revenues, and commercial real-estate.
  • Partner with sales to provide meaningful information and tools to serve customer needs and drive revenue growth opportunities.

Accounting Support

  • Ensure the accounting procedures are compliant with GAAP and internal controls.
  • Prepare supplemental reports to fulfill Corporate, Regional and auditor request.
  • Maintain a robust and effective internal control environment.
  • Perform Sarbanes Oxley testing reporting and close out of deficiencies. Review of the business accounting practices and reporting to ensure their correctness, appropriateness, and conformance to generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), Financial Corporate Accounting Policies (FICAP) and Sarbanes Oxley.
  • Prevention, elimination, and timely close-out of control deficiencies.

Transformation

  • Hunger for continuous improvement.
  • Work through process improvement opportunities with Channel Finance team to find transformable hours enabling increased analytical opportunity.
  • Use technology where appropriate to enhance reporting functionality.
  • Provide better customer experience for our business partners.

What You Need to Succeed:

  • This role is located within the Indianapolis area with minimal time in the office for meetings.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 3-5 years of hands-on experience
  • Strong leadership skills. Must be able to influence decisions at all levels of the organization.
  • Analytical thinker and you are someone enjoy spending time in the details to solve problems.
  • Ability to explain and communicate financial results to management in an understandable and actionable format for decision-making purposes.
  • Strong skills in MS Office applications (Excel, MSBI, SharePoint).
  • Cross functional team player with focus on business improvement.
