We are seeking a Sr. Financial Analyst to join our team. As Senior Financial Analyst you will be responsible for in-depth financial analysis, budgeting and forecasting support, short and long term planning, financial modeling and business analysis of performance metrics in support of the global HR/FIN organization within Labcorp.

The role is responsible for leading the focus on value added finance with a focus on FP&A and process improvement.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Collect & analyze cost data & present to the business in real time the financial performance.
  • Develop and maintain accurate cost models and operational budgets to measure performance.
  • Conduct monthly variance analyses and develop gap closure plans, as required.
  • Educate and advise operational and financial leadership in opportunities to maximize value delivery.
  • Develop consolidated financial statement models for use in planning and forecasting.
  • Continually update the financial forecast for operational costs & collaborates to publish real time P&Ls
  • Train, mentor, and strengthen analytical capability of team.
  • Design and implement annual budget and quarterly forecast process.
  • Provide financial input on and perform due diligence on mergers & acquisitions and investment opportunities, as required
  • Conduct financial analyses independently and as a leader of a team.

Qualifications Role Essentials:

  • BS/BA degree in Finance/Accounting or related field preferred.
  • MBA preferred, but not required
  • 3+ years of relevant financial modeling, analysis and reporting experience, preferably with a company within the healthcare industry.
  • Prior experience working with and supporting a global function
  • Understanding and experience in determining and driving value in an HR/FIN organization
  • Ability to team effectively with HR/FIN leadership, finance leadership and BU leadership
  • Ability to deal effectively with diverse issues, personalities, and agenda
  • Experience with process efficiencies and lean organizations
  • Technically capable yet able to communicate the Financial implications and alternatives at VP Management levels
  • Ability to translate the details of Finance into their impact on the broad strategic vision
  • Ability to work as part of a team as well as independently
  • Deadline oriented with excellent time management skills
  • Advanced Excel and modeling skills, while proficient in all MS Office programs
  • Experience with high end financial reporting systems such as Peoplesoft Financials, Hyperion Financial Management, Essbase
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Must be sharp, high energy, results-driven, solution-oriented, focused and motivated, with decision-making capability.
  • Comfortable with fast-paced, demanding environment; adaptable to change
