Sr. Financial Analyst

Summary of Responsibilities

• Assist Sr Manager and FP&A Team in preparing monthly and quarterly business reviews and analysis packages that compare actual results to budget, forecast and prior year.
• Prepare financial reporting and analyses that help us assess business performance trends, understand key drivers and the impact of those drivers.
• Build and/or enhance financial and dashboards to improve focus on and visibility of those key drivers and metrics. Support development of other tools to help manage the business.
• Support Finance Sr Manager and VP in managing the preparation of monthly forecasts, annual budgets and 5-year plans.
• Assist in the preparation of Board of Advisor documents and exhibitsand write business level commentary.
• Provide ad hoc analysis support to Finance Leadership team and others as needed
• Contribute to streamlining efficiency across the department by automating and/or eliminating reporting as the business needs.
• Document standard operating procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education/Experience

• Minimum: Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting is required, MBA is preferred.
• Minimum: 5-7 years accounting/finance experience. Experience in the following industries a plus: Services / Insurance / Investment Banking/Consulting.

Technical Skills/Experience

• Advanced Excel Skills (vLookups, hLookups, sumifs, macros) are required.
• Advanced PowerPoint and writing business level commentary.
• End-user experience with Hyperion Essbase and Hyperion Planning (or equivalent), as well as Oracle BI and writing SQL queries, are all big pluses.
• End-user experience with financial reporting & visualization tools like Tableau or PowerBI a big plus.
