What we are looking for
We are looking for a Sr. Financial Analyst, FP&A to join our dynamic team. You'll be hand-on building forecasting models as well as ad-hoc analysis to support key business decisions and inform key expense projections. You must be able to use your quantitative skills to break down large data sets and identify underlying trends and business drivers. The ability to jump into uncharted waters and manage multiple projects with changing priorities is a must.
You'll need to know your way around excel, have experience in evaluating trends and using that to predictively forecast. A solid helping of common/business sense and financial acumen is a must. As important as your analytical skills, your ability to synthesize complex data into digestible information (e.g. “tell the story”) will be key. In addition, your ability to partner with various levels within the organization and communicate in a clear/concise manner will be critical. This will be a fast-paced role with ample opportunity to interact with many functions of the company.
What you’ll do
- Compile, analyze, and evaluate data to inform financial projections and support cost containment and prudent invest decisions
- Develop strong partnerships between key functional departments
- Partner with the FP&A team, executive team and business leaders to support the company’s budgeting, strategic planning and forecasting processes
- Use sound analysis and insight to make recommendations on efficiencies to support the continued growth of Vacasa
- Bring new thinking and ways of doing things to the team, as appropriate, including analyzing and championing new metrics and performance indicators to help identify trends
- Support the continued development, execution and automation of standardized reporting
- Communicate your findings effectively and follow through to help drive improvements
- Analyze return on investment for key staffing and expense alternatives
What you’ll need
- Finance/FP&A experience around fast-growth companies preferred
- Eagerness to perform hands-on work while also influencing process improvements
- Strong financial and analytical skills
- Ability to respectfully challenge the status quo in a continued effort to move Vacasa forward
- Experience providing decision support for a range of projects, investments and strategic initiatives
- Ability to deal effectively with ambiguity, competing priorities and tight deadlines
- High standards as it pertains to accuracy and ethics – while maintaining a high sense of urgency
- Financial modeling skills and the ability to draw, translate and communicate critical insights into analysis
- Bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline such Finance, statistics, applied mathematics, computer science, economics, etc
- Advanced Excel experience (lookups, logic functions, etc.)
- Anaplan familiarity a plus
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem solving skills
- Ability to manage numerous assignments, identify priorities, and exercise good judgment
- Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Must be highly motivated with the ability to learn quickly and thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail, a sense of urgency, and relentless follow through
- 3-5 years in business analytics or FP&A
Working conditions
Ability to work from home and resides in one of the followings states: AK, AL, AZ, CA, CO DE, FL, GA, HI, ID, IL, LA, MA, MD, ME, MI, MO, MT, NC, NH, NM, OR, PA, SC, TN, TX, UT, VA, VT, WA, WI, or WY
You’ll be working in your home office setting. We hold virtual training sessions and weekly team meeting. Occasional offsite team meetings in your region or our HQ locations. Requires frequent, repetitive use of a computer, phone, and office equipment. Requires patient, professional communication with prospective clients, and the ability to build confidence with prospects.
Compensation
- $95,000- $115,000 DOE
