Sr. Financial Analyst (FP&A)

Position will report out of the Bloomington MN corporate HQ or the El Cajon, CA irrigation location.
Job Purpose:
As a member of the Center of Excellence (COE), Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team in the finance function, the analyst will support the business (functions and/or divisions) FP&A lead and business leadership team by building strong partnerships, providing insightful financial analysis and decision support, and identifying and implementing consistent best practices to expand our capabilities and drive efficiency.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
Supports the Business
- Prepares comprehensive standardized reports that highlight key business insights and drive action.
- Executes processes such as the long-range plan, annual plan, quarterly projections, monthly estimates within the organization through strong working relationships with key business partners.
- Becomes an expert in the Toro "data set" and actualizes the utilization of information to drive business insight and decisions. Focuses on best method to convey the information to the business users, such as through data visualization and reporting.
- Reviews and analyzes data across a wide breadth of areas including capital expenditures, working capital, product development, asset/liability management, product pricing, profitability, cost center expenses and other key financial metrics.
Provides Insightful Financial Analysis
- Identifies business elements that drive business performance and develops financial analyses to influence decisions. Analyzes business performance, communicates findings and provides recommendations to key business partners.
- Utilizes Business Intelligence toolsets (SAP, Power BI, TM1, IBP-A, One-Stream, QlikView, and others) to improve effective reporting.
- Provides recommendations to help drive sound business decisions.
- Influences the organization, directly and indirectly, by being able to tell the story behind the numbers.
Implements Consistent Best Practices
- Becomes a subject matter expert in a key areas of FP&A with deep understanding of the use, process and responsibilities of each key contributors. Assesses the process, understands any overlap with other processes, recommends changes, obtains consensus and approval for the changes, and implements them across the enterprise. Continues to serve and make adjustments as the business changes or new processes and technologies evolve.
- Understands key processes and ensures active involvement of the business that this role supports.
Job Qualifications:
- Degree (B.A. or B.S.) in finance, business, accounting or related experience. Advanced degrees and financial certification preferred.
- 2-5+ years experience in financial analysis.
- Strong analytical, accounting, and problem-solving skills, with a mindset to drive insight and foresight from vast amounts of data.
- Curious learner, self-starter with a continuous improvement mindset. Looks for ways to streamline and improve processes.
- Broad experience in planning, budgeting, and accounting. Experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus.
- Robust written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills to team with and provide influential leadership to the business.
- Advanced Excel spreadsheet skillset with knowledge of Outlook, PowerPoint and Word.
- Strong business intelligence systems ability with specific knowledge in SAP, PowerBI, TM1, IBP-A, and One-Stream is a plus.
- Ability to work successfully in a fast-paced dynamic organization with changing needs.

- In office or optional hybrid work environment, averaging three days in the office specifically determined by the support of the business activities and one specified day for team collaboration. #LI-Hybrid or #LI-Onsite
- Up to 10% travel required.
