Sr. Financial Analyst (Hybrid)

Broadridge is growing! We are excited to be expanding our team! We are actively seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join the Financial Planning & Analysis team in Newark, NJ. In this role you will focus on valuable revenue analysis which requires a deep understanding of the underlying revenue accounting fundamentals and drivers of revenue. You will be responsible for multiple business divisions and will partner closely with each of the operation's leadership teams. The role requires the ability to multi-task and complete many high priority responsibilities simultaneously. You will need a strong sense of personal accountability and be able to take initiative to problem solve on their own.

We are made up of high performing teams that meet in person to learn and collaborate as needed. This role is considered hybrid, which means you'll be assigned to a Broadridge office and given the flexibility to work remote.

Responsibilities:

• Perform Month End Close responsibilities, including financial analysis of client revenue
• Ensure compliance with US GAAP
• Review revenue monthly for accuracy and for variances to budget
• Explain variances to plan by utilizing various resources
• Demonstrate a solid understanding of accounting principles and internal controls
• Maintain and develop various financial models and reconciliations
• Produce reports and ad hoc analysis for senior managemen
• Provide support to internal and external auditors
• Evaluate processes and drive efficiencies using critical thinking skills
• General understanding of relational database structures and standardized querying languages

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in finance, Accounting or related area.
• 5+ years' experience in financial/cost analysis.
• Self-starter who can work on multiple projects with minimal direct supervision.
• Strong technology and data mining skills are critical, particularly expertise with Microsoft Excel and Word. High level of proficiency in Access and Oracle is a plus.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work under pressure.
• Demonstrated project management skills.
• Ability to effectively connect with senior management on a one on one basis.
• Excellent organizational, oral and written communication skills
