Division Overview

Hubbell Power Systems (HPS) engages in the design and manufacture of a wide variety of products used by utilities. Today, HPS is deeply engaged in product solutions for OSP Communication utility purposes, and has been actively growing that segment of the business. HPS roots have historically been in high voltage transmission, distribution, substation, underground products used by electric utilities. HPS products are also used in the civil construction, transportation, gas and water industries.

Position Overview

Reporting directly to the HUS Vice President of FP&A, this position will aid in the analysis and consolidation of financial reporting, monthly forecasts, and yearly budgets. The candidate will be detail oriented with end goals in mind and contribute as a valued member of the team. You will also be responsible for developing, executing, and analyzing financial reports/models that aid in the decision making of the company. This high-profile role will also provide strategic financial planning and analysis activities, support the Annual Operating Plan, and provide timely and accurate reporting of business units.

Duties and Responsibilities

MAJOR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Partner with financial leaders to gather, reconcile, and organize financial information
• Own the HUS Group forecast, and annual operating plan
• Analyze, consolidate, and upload financial data for actuals, forecasts, and budgets
• Evaluate the drivers of sales and profitability, document variances, and track monthly results
• Utilize financial systems to extract and validate data throughout the segment entity reporting structure
• Perform critical data reconciliation and support to financial system enhancements
• Develop financial reports and models using SAP, OneStream, and Excel
• Month end responsibilities include validation and consolidation of actual results, executing and distributing financial reports, and analyzing financial data
• Support headcount planning and organizational cost structure analytics, emphasizing departmental spend
• Assist in the creation of various operating and financial presentations for senior management
• Perform active analysis of sales and operating costs, identifying key drivers, metrics, and variations
• Ad hoc requests & special projects to drive performance are a large part of this position

Skills and Experience

• BS Degree in Accounting or Finance
• 5+ years accounting and/or finance experience
• Experience working for a large multi-national manufacturer
• Proficient in MS Office - Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
• SAP, OneStream, and ThinkCell experience a big plus
• Drive efficiency and process improvement
• MBA or CPA is a plus, but not required
