POSITION PURPOSE
The Sr. Financial Analyst's responsibilities include identifying knowledge gaps within the business and facilitate the capture and analysis of data to fill the gap. This role will exercise quantitative skills, statistical software knowledge, and relationships with the Home Care team to generate insights that aid in the development of actionable strategies to enhance business results. The Analyst will develop and implement data modeling, machine learning, and other data science tools to assist the Finance department in creating a foundation for generating reliable reporting, forecasting, and budgeting. In addition, the right candidate will also recommend guidance and advice on technical, system, or process-related topics.
This opportunity may be remote in the U.S. and primarily work in the Eastern Time Zone. Travel within the U.S. may include up to 10%.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work with Finance & Business Partners to develop, analyze and model strategies and tactics to increase sales and profitability of Direct-to-Consumer and Distributor Sales Channels.
- Will subsequently develop market sizing, segmentation and new product development models based on collaboration
- Collaborating with cross functional teams, assist in the development of New Product Development financial models
- Enhances the forecasting methodology to accurately predict future sales and communicate expectations to sales, finance and operations teams.
- Develop and execute database queries and conduct analyses
- Assist in the development and execution of special projects to enhance and improve sales/marketing efficiency, performance, and reporting capabilities
- Present findings, observations, and develop methods to communicate data and insights
- Provide strategic leadership and creative thinking to the business based on current technology trends. Identification of new opportunities to streamline and automate current processes which will accelerate the customer experience
- Analyze application, financial and customer data to gather insights, identify underlying facts, perform root cause analysis, and understand trends
- Mine existing business data to create new learnings and drive process improvement throughout the organization while creating visualizations and reports for requested projects
- Performs other duties and tasks as directed and/or assigned
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS OR QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Experience:
- Minimum Bachelor's degree in Business Administration (Finance or Accounting) and/or Information Technology related field.
- 2-5 years of experience in a data analytics capacity.
- Familiarity with BI technologies (e.g. Microsoft Power BI, Tableau, Oracle BI, etc.) and SQL coding/SSIS for data migration tasks.
- History using an advanced analytics platform (e.g. Alteryx), a business intelligence platform (e.g. Tableau, Qlik, Power BI) for designing visual presentations, and a CRM Platform (e.g. Salesforce.com).
- Strong sense of ownership and accountability.
- Work within the Eastern Time Zone.
- Ability to travel up to 10%.

- Ability to turn conceptual leadership ideas into well thought out business models and/or proposals
- Ability to critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources
- Experience with process improvement and prior ownership of key financial reporting responsibilities
