POSITION SUMMARY:

The Sr. Financial Analyst will compile, organize, analyze, and interpret statistical information concerning the customer service-related data for LG Electronics Alabama Inc. (LGEAI), a global electronics company. A successful candidate will work independently in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment. Under general supervision, the Financial Analyst will follow the managerial direction to support preparation of business reports for top management while sharing key insight of each project/task. Performs operational analysis by gathering, measuring, analyzing data and trends for department operation, activities, and projects. This position requires delivering meaningful outcomes through data analysis in our customer service operation. The Financial Analyst must be able to understand what variables impact business operation variance and how it should respond tactically. Accurate business operational forecasts drive improvements in the quality of our customer service.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Conduct cost/benefit analysis and/or break-even analysis for various assignments by Financial Planning (FP&A) Team leader to identify improvement opportunities
• Leading financial tasks and reporting key financial status to team leader
• Building new/improving existing accounting processes to ensure data integrity and efficient analyses
• Providing financial analysis to prioritize and lead cost reduction efforts
• Providing analytical support for staffing optimization initiatives
• Create financial and cost models from scratch to complete sound recommendations
• Sourcing, analyzing, and reporting quantitative data; perform ad hoc analysis
• Analyzing trends, formulating projections, and evaluating savings initiatives
• Developing monthly/quarterly financial reporting (actual and forecast) and annual budgeting
• Provide fact-based insights into variances and trends
• Educating, communicating, and partnering with site leadership
• Work with functional leaders and other finance functions to build scalable financial processes and metrics

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor's Degree in business related field, finance/ accounting
• 5 years' work experience in data analytics/data management position utilizing an ERP system such as Oracle Hyperion Essbase etc.
• 7 years' experience working with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint with knowledge of pivots, VLOOKUP, tables, charts, trend analysis etc.
• Corporate Finance/ Business Planning/ Accounting background
