Who You Are: As Nutrabolt’s Sr. Financial Analyst, Operations you will help drive insights and analysis into cost of goods sold, driving our strategy, strategizing with leaders on strategy and owning the forecast, actuals, and subsequent variance analytics. This role will also have high exposure to all finance teams and to executives on a monthly basis.
What You're Good At:
- Helping forecast cost of goods monthly, quarterly, and annually P&L statements and compare against actual/reported performance
- Collaborating with Senior leaders to strategize on procurement options and long-term planning and diversification initiatives
- Interfacing with key stakeholders across the organization to help drive efficiency and process improvement in current processes
- Driving insights into profitability to enable decision-making through the development and execution of financial modeling tools
- Providing insights and direction into accounting adjustments at month end and complete any necessary reporting
- Driving automation and data integrity, working with IT and other functional areas for issue resolution
- Creating KPI and variance reports monthly and quarterly for presentation to upper management
- Recommending actions by analyzing and interpreting data and making comparative analyses, studying proposed changes in methods and materials
- Collaborating, you look for opportunities to make the organization, team, and yourself better
- Participating in helping build out board presentations on a quarterly basis
- Working as a critical pillar of the finance team and getting exposure to all areas of finance
- In this role your goals and KPIs will be focused around:
- Delivering Insights on COGS trends; recommend strategic shifts
- Accurate forecasting
- Variance Analysis with executive level bridges
- Cross-functional analysis support
- Quarterly forecasting and annual budget planning
- Inventory and Cost of goods rationale analysis
What You Contribute:
- Has a bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance/Economics or Analytical related field
- Accounting or Finance master's degree preferred
- Understands and is proficient in Excel Financial Modeling and building out PowerPoint decks
- Has experience in Tableau dashboard creation and understands SQL/Databases/Data Mining
- Has 2-6 years in budget-specific experience, building up company, division and/or departmental budgets
- Has 2+ years in cost of goods analysis experience, assessing production and purchasing variances, margin fluctuations and offering recommendations to senior management
- Driven and enthusiastic about growing the business and achieving strategic milestones
- Is a problem solver and knows that "I don’t know" is not an acceptable answer
- Is adaptable, an adaptive learner and takes it upon themselves to find answers
- Has proven success communicating initiatives and variance analysis to leaders
- Is initiative-taking and always one step ahead of the game
- Has effective verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and diligence is a must have
- Will not stop until the job is done and done right
