Allegient Defense helps clients with challenging Science & Technology, Engineering Acquisition, and Program Management Mission requirements.
Allegient Defense is a leader in advanced technology research and solutions development, and we are growing quickly. We are looking to hire a Sr. Financial Analyst for one of our DoD customers in Arlington, VA.
- Provide financial forecasting, planning, analysis, and tracking; provide visibility of agency funding streams and documentation.
- Accurately report and track fiscal year obligations, out-year forecasts, and potential opportunities to improve processes.
- Provide analysis of budget-related documents and issues, to include budget strategies and techniques to meet Government changing priorities and resource allocation.
- Utilize financial- related analysis and data to support recommendations and potential courses of action to Government decision makers.
- Inspect Government requirement packages for adherence to published DoD/agency financial guidance and spend plan.
- Complete a written analysis on all packages reviewed and coordinate with appropriate stakeholders regarding any noted deficiencies or omissions.
- Prepare and input financial data relating to government programs, utilizing existing program information and system databases.
- Ensure the accuracy and completeness of data loaded and ensure the data is updated daily.
- Maintain an organized archive of all information provided during the life of the contract and make the information available based upon agency standard operating procedures (SOP(s)
- Attend staff and program planning meetings and participate in strategic planning sessions to assess the measurable outcomes for all planned and funded activities and initiatives; provide fiscal analysis of planned and funded activities and, where needed, cost benefit analysis of potential courses of action.
Requirements
Experience Requirements:
At least 3 years (+ BS/BA degree) of the following
- Demonstrated detailed, intensive knowledge of budgetary methods, practices, procedures, regulations, precedents, policies.
- Experience with DoD Financial Management Strategy objectives, DoD procedures, and fiscal regulatory guidance.
- Experience analyzing, planning, and tracking budget and funding for DoD.
Education Requirement:
- Bachelor's degree and at least 3 (three) years of relevant senior level contracting and budget support.
- DoD FM Certification Level 2
*Substitution: In lieu of a bachelor's degree, candidates will be eligible if they have at least 13 (thirteen) years of related work experience
