The FP&A Financial Analyst is responsible for the coordination of the company's annual Plan, Projection and Quarterly Summary of Operating Result (SOR) process. This position also supports Executive Leadership with analytics and special projects.
What Will You Do?
In order to grow and build a successful career with The Toro Company, you will be responsible for:
- Partner with divisional controllers and finance managers to ensure smooth execution of plan and projection cycles.
- Owns the Plan & Projection of Non-Functional corporate cost centers.
- Analyze Corporate and Divisional plans/projections to identify material trends.
- Prepare consolidated financial statements and presentation materials for Executive Leadership and Finance Management.
- Prepare and present quarterly SOR to support earnings release.
- Develop and implement policies, timelines, and reporting requirements for the planning and quarterly projection process.
- Develop Corporate Profit and Loss and Balance Sheet for annual plan, projection and long-range plan.
- Coordinate plan and projection data for company owned distributors.
- Assist corporate cost center managers with budgeting and in obtaining approval for capital.
- Assist and train corporate personnel in preparing ROI's and lease vs. buy analysis.
- Act as a subject matter expert in systems used for financial planning and reporting.
- Assist in coordinating systems development and reporting.
- Identify and drive process improvement.
- Perform other duties and projects as requested.
What Do You Need?
To be considered for this role, an individual should meet the following minimal requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business or Accounting. Advanced degrees and financial certification preferred.
- Previous experience in financial planning processes or other company-wide process enhancements required.
- Analyst II: A minimum of 3-5 years' experience in financial planning or accounting. 2+ years in public accounting is also acceptable.
- Analyst III (Sr.): A minimum of 5+ years' experience. Ability to solve complex problems with innovative solutions. Demonstrated project leadership experience.
- Strong analytical, accounting, and problem-solving skills, with a mindset to drive insight from vast amounts of data.
- Broad experience in planning, budgeting, and accounting. Experience in manufacturing environment a plus.
- Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills to team with and provide influential leadership to the business.
- Curious learner, self-starter with a continuous improvement mindset. Looks for ways to streamline and improve processes.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel spreadsheet skillset required.
- Strong systems ability utilizing SAP, OneStream, PowerBI and other similar tools is a plus.
- Ability to work in a dynamic organization with changing needs.
