WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:

  • Work with executive leadership teams to create annual operating plan. Act as go-between for these functional leaders and Finance leadership team to create a budget that supports total nVent margin expansion.
  • Review monthly results against financial plan, financial forecast, and prior years with functional leadership teams. Collaborate with broader Finance organization to gather invoice-level details to explain variances.
  • Review and analyze Capital Expenditure Requests; provide cost-benefit analysis to various levels of executive leadership.
  • Monthly and quarterly data/KPI submissions
  • Create new reporting visualizations utilizing Tableau Software or similar tools
  • Interact with cross-functional and global teams to establish and implement best practices for data visualization.
  • Understand and communicate due dates for month-end close and forecast cycles to functional leadership.
  • Provide ad-hoc reporting for leadership requests.
  • Meet deadline for standard processes and ad-hoc requests.


YOU HAVE:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics or related field
  • 4+ years previous experience in or with Financial Planning, Operational Finance or Corporate Finance
  • Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, etc.)
  • ERP and enterprise data consolidation experience
  • Knowledge of US GAAP and International Accounting Standards (IAS)
  • The ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality
