Job Summary:
Support the financial and business planning activities of the Healthways' Employer Market through hands on analysis, modeling, accounting of accruals, management of financial data, and reporting. Responsibilities centered on supporting monthly performance guarantee forecasting activities, billing, expense analysis and accruals, P L development, operations financial support and related project work, and other ad hoc reporting/analytical activities as needed.
*This is a remote position and can be located anywhere in the United States.
Essential Job Functions:
* Compare actual results to historical results, budgets, and forecasts; prepare and report meaningful variance analyses of selected items to influence decision-making.
* Account for recognition of at-risk revenue associated with performance guarantees, including developing appropriate reserves; accrue expenses associated with complex vendor agreements.
* Develop and execute controlled and efficient financial processes and procedures.
* Assist in development and maintenance of monthly standard reports and ad-hoc customized financial reports for FP A team and business owners.
* Contribute to the development of financial strategy in meetings with FP A team, including the development of action plans and implementation of action items.
* Compiling data from multiple sources into one report for business owners.
* Assist in the review, interpretation and approval of customer and vendor contracts.
* Work with team to create and document ongoing processes to ensure compliance with SOX and GAAP requirements.
Requirements
Specific Skills/ Attributes:
* Ability to become immersed in the details without losing sight of the big picture is absolutely critical.
* Strong analytical and communication skills, with particular emphasis on managing and analyzing financial and operating data across multiple segments.
* Ability to communicate complicated financial concepts and provide a high level of customer service.
* Strong procedure development and implementation skills and demonstrated process improvement ability.
* Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
* Detail-oriented, self-starter, assertive and disciplined.
* High degree of trust and integrity.
Qualifications:
* 3-5 years of relevant corporate or operations finance experience.
* Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field required (M.B.A. is a plus).
* Experience in healthcare is a plus, but not required.
* Experience in a fast paced, rapidly changing work environment is beneficial.
* High degree of proficiency in Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
* Experience with Oracle Accounting and SAP is a plus, but not required.
