The Role

We are seeking an experienced FP&A leader with top notch financial modeling & strategic planning chops who’s made an impact in their prior role at a high-growth D2C business. You thrive in a dynamic environment, aren’t afraid to get your hands dirty (in fact you prefer it), must love problem-solving, and can answer complex questions with data. Reporting to the CFO, You’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the financial strategy and performance of Sleep Doctor as you partner with executive leaders to develop financial plans, establish new KPIs and ways of analyzing performance, and provide reporting & insights that drive the company’s continued success. 

What You’ll Do

  • Partner with executive leaders to formulate and execute financial plans, budgets, and forecasts.
  • Develop and maintain company-wide financial planning models in Excel and Workday Adaptive Planning.
  • Create multi-dimensional revenue models for D2C business (e.g., LTV, CAC, retention, etc.)
  • Develop and produce month-end reporting packages for management, board, PE investors, and lenders. 
  • Coordinate development of KPIs, creation of scorecards, and automation of monthly dashboards. 
  • Produce high quality board-level presentations that effectively communicate financial performance, forecasts, and strategic initiatives.
  • Play a central role in long-range financial planning and actively lead the analysis of investments in new business lines in collaboration with executive leaders.
  • Conduct ad-hoc financial and data analysis to answer questions from various stakeholders throughout the organization. 
  • Support the month end close process as needed in partnership with the Controller and accounting department.
  • Periodically engage in M&A activities, including financial due diligence and modeling.

Who You Are

  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA a plus
  • At least 5-7 years of FP&A experience
  • Expert financial modeling and powerpoint presentation skills
  • Must have relevant experience at a high-growth D2C business
  • Must have experience with Workday Adaptive Planning or similar
  • Experience working in a PE-backed business a plus
  • CFA, CPA, investment banking, public accounting, or consulting experience a plus
  • Loves data, and can tell stories with it
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills
  • Utmost discretion in handling confidential information
  • Thrives in a fast-paced and collaborative environment; can multi-task and pivot with relative ease as priorities change

Compensation Range

$130,000-160,000/yr. Note that final compensation is subject to the candidate’s specific qualifications and location, as well as the needs of the company.

The Company currently provides medical, vision, and dental insurance with 100% of the employee  medical, vision, and dental premiums covered by the Company.  There is an option to participate in both a medical FSA and dependent care FSA. We offer a 401(k) plan, with fully matching contributions up to 3% of salary and 50% matching from 3% to 5% of salary.  You will be eligible for Paid Time Off in accordance with the company’s policies. Our Seattle-based employees will receive commuter benefits. This position is eligible to participate in the company’s annual bonus plan.
