About this job

As an iCrossingSenior Front End Engineer,you'll be instrumental in innovating anddeveloping immersive digital experiences on cutting-edge,large-scale, enterprise consumer-facing websites. You'll be successful by leveraging your technicalfront end development expertise to build these websites as single page applications (SPAs) with serverless functionality in AWS cloud.

What you'll do

• Develop front end code for highly visible marketing and eCommerce Websites.
• Implement high-fidelity, responsive front-end layouts from creative comps.
• Collaborate with the cloud infrastructure team to integrate your applications with services in the AWS cloud.
• Ensure cross-browser compatibility of front-end code across devices.
• Be a key part of an application development project team comprised of onshore and offshore developers using Scrum ceremonies and methodologies
• Collaborate with Technical Managers to estimate specific work assignments, ensure the quality of your deliverables and provide status updates and highlight issues.
• You will participate in all Scrum processes, including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, and Sprint Retrospectives.

Who you are

• 4+ years of experience building websites.
• Have a solid understanding ofHTML5, CSS (SASS/Less), JavaScript and Typescript.
• Hold modern web development practicesincludingimplementing responsive design and mobile-first layouts.
• Working knowledge of JavaScript frameworks such as React or Angular for single-page application (SPA) development.
• Hands-on Node-based workflow and build systems such as Webpack.
• Experience with developing APIs for your single page application using AWS Lambda functions and API Gateway.
• Ability to create infrastructure as code (IaC) scripts using Terraform for creating resources in AWS.
• Ability to deploy your application to AWS cloud using the console and CLI.
• Adeptness atGIT and best practices for version control across distributed teams.
• Proficient with multilingual website development.
• Knowledge of working with git and shells in a terminal on daily basis.
• Skills at setting your local development environment tooling and deploying code to a remote server environment.

Great if you also have

• An understanding of integration of web pages and applications with RESTful webservices.
• Ability to write and maintain AWS Lambda functions in Node.js that connect with AWS services such as DynamoDB and other Restful APIs.
• Familiarity with best practices around secretes management for single page applications in AWS.
• Ability to establish presentation layer technical requirements.
• Experience producing interim deliverables (such as style guide components, technical specifications, browser + market analysis, prototypes, proofs of concept, etc.) to the final live site or application.
• Participatedin the authoring of technical and business requirement documentation.
• Some proficiency in UX design, information architecture and/or graphic design, but prefer to code!
