Tetra is leading the clean energy transformation by empowering homeowners to switch from fossil fuel heating and cooling systems to high efficiency heat pumps. The Federal government is investing billions of dollars via the Inflation Reduction Act to incentivize homeowners to transition homes from being powered by fossil fuel to clean energy heat pumps. This is creating a tectonic shift in this legacy $43 billion home heating and cooling industry.

Tetra is at the forefront of this shift. Our marketplace creates an end-to-end experience where homeowners can fully transact online. We provide homeowners with the information they need to make informed decisions, and connect them with the best service providers at the most affordable prices. 

We’ve raised over $10M from top tier investors, such as Greycroft Partners, Lerer Hippeau, and Gutter Capital. This funding will allow us to expand nationally and become the leader in this market that's ripe for change.

How You'll Contribute To Our Mission

We are looking for a Sr. Fullstack Engineer to help us build Tetra, and scale the future of Tetra’s technical stack. 

Our mission is to remove the pain from homeownership by creating the best experience and service through technology. You will help us achieve this goal by building an eCommerce experience that educates our customers on the best solutions for their homes, and on how to bring them to life with our help. You will help us automate and optimize the process of working with customers and contractors to ensure the best experience for all parties involved. You will directly drive innovation for homeowners. As a member of our tech organization you will work alongside our product and design teams to plan, design and build our products. You will report directly to the CTO.

The Impact You Will Make

• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and other engineers, to design, develop, and maintain consumer-focused products.
• Architect, develop, and maintain high-quality, scalable full-stack applications using React.js for the front-end and Django (or similar backend technology) for the back-end.
• Utilize your AWS expertise to design, deploy, and manage cloud-based solutions, ensuring optimal performance, scalability, and security.
• Lead by example as a technical expert, providing guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, conducting code reviews, and enforcing best practices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical challenges, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends, applying them to enhance our product offerings and development processes.

Who You Are

• 7+ years of hands-on experience in full-stack software development with a strong focus on React.js (or a similar front-end framework) and Django (or similar backend technology).
• Proven track record of developing and launching consumer-oriented web applications.
• Extensive experience with AWS services and cloud-based architecture, including EC2, S3, Lambda, and more.
• Proficiency in front-end technologies, such as React.js, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and responsive web design.
• Strong understanding of backend development, API integration, and RESTful services.
