Sr. Functional Analyst

PSI is seeking a uniquely qualified team player to support Headquarters Air Combat Command, Office of the Command Surgeon (ACC/SG) in leading Air Force Medical Service (AFMS) modernization of aerospace and ground-based expeditionary medical capabilities to include Expeditionary Medical Support (EMEDS), home station medical response, medical Chemical Biological Radiological and Nuclear (CBRN), and casualty prevention. This position requires an individual who is experienced, extremely organized, and analytical.

Essential Functions and Job Responsibilities:

The selected individual will work in a highly visible role supporting and/or working with ACC and Air Force Medical Service leadership, other MAJCOMs, and Wings, other Services, program managers, and an additional 5 other staff in support of this client. Primary duties and responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

• Provide support for strategic planning, programming and innovation of medical modernization requirements
• Support development, deliberation and advocacy of ACC/SG AFMS and LAF modernization Program Objective Memorandum (POM). Develop presentations for Program Element Monitor (PEM) parades and other POM deliberation forums. Complete Resource Allocation Programming Information Data System (RAPIDS) slides, including detailed program and cost data documents, in support of ACC/SG LAF & AFMS POM submissions.
• Understand the Agile Combat Support (ACS) governance. Support the ACC ACS Core Function Support Team and the ACS Core Function Lead Integrator (CFLI) (AF Materiel Command).
• Develop Health Services input to ACS strategic planning documents such as the Corp Function Master Plan (CFMP), ACS CONOPS and sub-CONOPS.
• Support medical modernization project development and management including High Performance Teams, Integrated Process Team and SGROCC, and Medical Modernization activity.
• Support the development, execution, and refinement of ACC SGR capability-based assessments (CBAs) to identify and meet capability gaps in expeditionary ground and aerospace medical requirements.
• Support research, development, and acquisition (RDA) of materiel medical modernization solutions to meet ACC SGR capability gaps.
• Coordinate, track, review, evaluate, score, rank and advocate for Air Force Medical Support Agency (AFMSA) Broad Agency Announcement research solicitation proposals that address ACC medical modernization requirements and CBAs.
• Exhibit excellent oral and written communication skills and be able to apply them in a wide range of settings to effectively communicate goals, plans, operations, activities, and tasks.
• Work with AFMS and DoD research, development and acquisition programs.
• Advise and assist with all essential documentation, attend meetings when requested, record minutes and action items.
• Travel in support of projects and documentation and submittal of trip reports.
• Perform other ACC SGR project duties as directed.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 3-5 years of DoD, AF, or AF medical experience including 1 year at a MAJCOM.
• Proven ability to coordinate multiple assignments in a demanding environment.
• Excellent writing and communication skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite of products.
• Exceptional proofreading skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Ability to deal with change and maintain a professional demeanor at all times.
• Proven ability to function effectively under rigid deadlines.
• Proven experience preserving confidential and/or sensitive information.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and Outlook skills.
• U.S. citizenship is required. Applicants selected will be subject to a government investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information and obtain a Government-granted Security clearance.
