Your Impact

• Developing and supervising geotechnical investigations and laboratory testing programs from highway to subway project
• Performing geotechnical analyses and design of shallow and deep foundations, embankments/cuts, and earth retaining systems for transportation/water/energy projects
• Performing numerical analysis for complex underground projects
• Preparing geotechnical memoranda and reports
• Developing geotechnical instrumentation and monitoring plan
• Providing design services during construction

Who You Are

Required Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering or Geological Engineering
• 5 to 7 years of relevant experience in geotechnical and tunnel engineering field
• Professional Engineer Registration in Washington State
• Solid educational background in soil mechanics and foundation engineering
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Ability and willingness to travel for field work

Preferred Qualifications

• MS in Civil Engineering with Geotechnical Engineering emphasis
• Familiar with seismic design specifications and requirements in Pacific Northwest
• Proven Experience using engineering software from commerically available developers (i.e. Ensoft, Itasca, Rocscience, Bentley)
• Experience with MicroStation and GIS systems
