Sr. Hardware Test Engineer

This position is part of our Signal & Power Solutions segment, Vehicle Electrification Systems business unit.

Summary:

We have an exciting opportunity for a Lead Hardware Test Engineer that will be located in Troy, MI.

Through system integration and innovation, we strongly believe that there is an opportunity deliver more power electronics performance, efficiency and value as OEMs develop their next generation EV and PHEV offerings to fulfill consumer demand that we can further accelerate. With your experience, we will execute this vision and make it happen in the very near term.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for performing Functional, Fault Insertion and 2 MEG tests on all HW design releases for all integrated power electronics products.
• Work closely with HW, SW and System engineering teams to understand the requirements.
• Participate in PCB design and stack up reviews.
• Mentor team members on HW design/layout best practices.
• Strong understanding of ISO-26262 requirements.
• Ensure compliance to Customer requirements.

Must Haves (Basic Qualifications):

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent technical field from an accredited institution
• A minimum of three (3) years of HW verification and validation experience in automotive/power conversion industry
• Excellent understanding of Power electronics hardware and topology
• Strong communication skills that translate the benefits of technical decisions in your field to colleagues, management, and other stakeholders, including customers

Nice to Haves (Preferred Qualifications):

• Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent technical field from an accredited institution
• A minimum of five (5) years of HW verification and validation experience in automotive/power conversion industry
• Hardware in the loop set up experience
