The Sr. Director, Human Resources - Integrated Supply Chain serves as a senior member of both the HR and Integrated Supply Chain leadership teams and provides top HR business partnership to the Chief Supply Chain Officer and their global leadership team. This leader will leverage deep HR expertise to effectively consult on a broad range of priorities, including workforce and talent strategy, succession planning and leadership development, change leadership, organization design and effectiveness, and labor/employee relations, engagement and safety.

This leader will collaborate with Integrated Supply Chain leadership and across the HR team to develop and deliver people-related strategies in alignment with enterprise strategic priorities with a focus on attracting, developing and retaining a high-performing and diverse team. They will assume a leadership role in developing a positive company culture that drives engagement and business results across the Integrated Supply Chain footprint.

What Will You Do?

In order to grow and build a successful career with The Toro Company, you will be responsible for the following responsibilities:

  • Develop, communicate and lead the overall people and talent strategy for all of Integrated Supply Chain in partnership with Supply Chain leadership
  • Partner with leaders on strategic planning and annual planning processes with a focus on people priorities; identify talent implications of planning process and develop aligned people and talent strategies to enable achievement of company ambitions
  • In partnership with Centers of Excellence (COE) partners, lead talent initiatives within the Integrated Supply Chain organization, including the development and execution of processes around performance management, talent assessment, succession planning, recognition and rewards
  • Collaborate with leaders on improving organizational effectiveness through analysis of organizational structure and alternatives
  • Champion and role model a culture of inclusion and lead efforts and initiatives within Integrated Supply Chain to advance The Toro Company's progress in Diversity, Equity and Inclusion
  • Source and recruit top talent that possess the key capabilities and leadership attributes needed for success. Utilize internal and external platforms to fill open positions as well as build the talent pipeline for the future
  • Lead comprehensive Change Management strategies/initiatives
  • Lead, coach and develop a team of Human Resources Business Partners
  • Oversee employee relations investigations, including interviews, documentation and follow up, leading to appropriate outcomes
  • Provide advisory and consultative services to the business leaders on people-related issues
  • In partnership with the Chief Supply Chain Officer, provide coaching to leaders on their own development and effectiveness as well as the effectiveness of the Integrated Supply Chain leadership team to ensure a collaborative, aligned and high-performing team
  • Leverage people data within global HCM (Workday) to provide actionable insights to inform talent strategies and measure progress against goals and ambitions
  • Work closely with HR colleagues and peers who provide business partnership to businesses and functions to ensure alignment on and coordination of leadership decisions and people strategies

What Do You Need?

To be considered for this role, an individual should meet the following minimal requirements:

  • A Bachelor's degree combined with a comprehensive HR background that has exhibited the ability to work as a business partner and strategic advisor
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive HR experience, including experience managing a team of direct reports

  • Passion for developing Talent at all levels
  • Knowledge of relevant human resources-related laws and regulations and the ability to conduct or assist with investigations, maintain confidentiality and appropriately handle sensitive information
  • Exceptional communication/ interpersonal skills, including strong presentation and facilitation skills
  • Energetic, driven and passionate, and able to cultivate a fast-paced, change-oriented workplace
  • Consistently exhibits collaborative leadership qualities, able to solicit advice from colleagues and partners while still being able to take charge, show initiative and make decisions
  • Strong analytical skills, yet forward thinking, able identify creative solutions to complex business problems
  • A big picture thinker who is comfortable with details but disciplined enough to maintain objectivity and delegate effectively
  • Strong business acumen coupled with an ability to translate business strategy into practical application while maintaining standards of high touch
  • An eye for detail and a commitment to consistency and excellence coupled with a resourceful and problem solving disposition
  • Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) is strongly preferred
  • HRIS experience; Workday system is a plus
  • Multi-unit/site experience in supply chain
  • Ability to travel up to 20%
