Position Overview
We are looking to expand our HR team with an experienced Sr HR Generalist to manage the day-to-day HR operations across the company. In this role, you will support onboarding, offboarding, benefits administration, and compliance matters. Our ideal candidate will be someone who thrives in rapid-paced, startup environments. This position reports to the Director of People and Culture and the primary work location will be onsite in our Sunnyvale, CA office.Â
This role is onsite Tues-Thurs + As needed
What You'll Do
- Conduct new hire benefit orientation
- Work with payroll and/or benefit brokers to resolve benefits issues
- Assist with the implementation of new benefit plans and changes during the annual renewal process
- Act as resource for compliance and policy questions and maintain accurate and compliant digital files
- Conduct file audits as necessary
- Run reports as requested
- Manage the background check process
- Manage onboarding processes - I9s, Employee Handbook Acknowledgement, and other new hire documentation
- Process all paperwork and ensure data integrity within HRIS for all employee records including: new hire, I-9, leave, transfer, promotion, status/data change, benefits, and termination documentation
- Act as a liaison in all immigration cases with immigration attorney and employee
- Be the first point of contact and support for employee inquiries regarding benefits, policies, leaves of absence, and all HR related questions.
- Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with company policies and labor laws.
- Participate in the management and administration of performance reviews and employee recognition programs.
- Assist in implementing process improvements in our HRIS system
- Ensure all HR policies, procedures, and practices are in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Manage and administer all workers’ compensation claims, leave of absence requests and disability paperwork
- Maintain compliance postings, notices, audits, and annual reportingÂ
- Create strong cross functional partnerships and act as the liaison with the Finance, Legal, Payroll and IT teams to ensure clear communication, handoffs, collaboration, systems and workflow integrations across the company.
What You'll Need
- 5+Â years experience in HR Operations
- 2+ years of experience with fast-growing, high-technology organizations, preferred.
- 5+ years of experience and expertise in relevant federal, state and local regulations, filing and compliance requirements affecting employee benefit programs including ERISA, COBRA, ADA, FMLA, and HIPAA, ACA.
- High proficiency in MS 365 Suite - particularly Excel, G Suite - particularly G-Drive, and Dropbox.
- Highly effective verbal and written communications skills to collaborate, develop partnerships and encourage trust of vendors, managers, and all team members
- Must be able to analyze, interpret, and compile interpret and analyze data, make recommendations and communicate trends to inform business decisions
- Willingness to seek and incorporate suggestions and feedback from others into your own experience, expertise, and planning to drive forward with results.
- Successful track record of building and improving operational processes and proceduresÂ
- Ability to proactively address areas of focus with a sense of urgency
- Strong change management and project management skills
- Strong client-oriented focusÂ
- Displays integrity and ethics in handling confidential information
- Possesses influencing, problem solving, and facilitation skillsÂ
