Job Description:
Position Summary:
The Senior Manager, Human Resources will provide consultation and support to help drive success through people. This role is the business partner to various site functions and is responsible for executing HR initiatives and leading/implementing projects at the plant level. This position reports into the Director, Human Resources. You'll add value to this role by performing various functions including, but not limited to:
Position Responsibilities:
As a key member of the Plant Leadership Team, this role provides sound advice and coaching to department managers on all HR related areas.
- Manage the delivery of human resources solutions by partnering with specific functional leadership
- Provide sound advice and coaching to functional leaders and people managers on all HR related areas that impact their organizations
- Provide coaching to HR team members and foster continuous learning environments
- Manage key HR processes; performance management, employee development, compensation planning (salary and bonus planning) and recruiting and retention of employees
- Build effective relationships with functional departments to understand their business goals and to proactively identify and implement solutions that align with organizational strategies
- Act as liaison with center HR by assisting with rolling out new Company initiatives and communicating information relating to career development, recognition programs, payroll, benefits, training, and staffing
- Identify opportunities to optimize business processes in Workday to create efficiencies for the HR team
- Participate in client group staff meetings to ensure an integrated business partnership and strong link with strategy and the direction of the business
- Analyze HR data for the purpose of identifying trends and preparing HR plans (i.e. performance management tracking, vacancy reports, HR scorecard, retention rates, etc.)
- Participate in various HR projects as required
- Demonstrate tact and diplomacy and maintain discretion and confidentiality when dealing with sensitive employee data
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree - Human Resources or business-related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Master's Degree - preferred
- Certification/Licensure: SHRM; PHR preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Human Resources
- Prior people management experience
- Curiosity and drive to learn the key factors that drive our success in safely delivering quality product at a competitive cost
- Experience and aptitude with HRIS, preferably with Workday
- Advanced computer skills in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook)
- Thorough knowledge of full-cycle recruitment process
- Strong customer service, relationship building, problem solving and follow-up skills
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Thorough knowledge of current trends and issues in Human Resources Management
