Sr. HRIS Analyst

Reporting to the Senior Manager, of HR Operations, the Senior HRIS Analyst maintains all aspects of the organization's Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) and related technology in support of the day-to-day transactional activity for the HR department to drive business results. The Senior HRIS Analyst will assist in the development, analysis, and administration of the HRIS system including report writing and analytics.

The Senior HRIS Analyst builds project plans, ensures adherence to project schedules, maintains a systems orientation and can work effectively with peers to set technology priorities and conduct long-term planning. This position also serves as a technical point-of-contact for the assigned functional area and assists subject matter experts with ensuring data integrity, testing of system changes, report writing and analyzing data flows for process improvement opportunities. The Senior HRIS Analyst also supports HRMS upgrades, patches, testing and other technical projects as assigned.

Responsibilities:

  • Optimize HRIS systems to meet organization requirements creating opportunities for automation and reduction of manual processes.
  • Accountable for the effectiveness of the HRIS system
  • Provide system administration support for the human resources information system (HRIS), maintaining security, data audits and corrections, and introduction of new functionality, system conversion, and cleaning.
  • Assist in the design, testing, implementation, and troubleshooting of system enhancements and other automation projects utilizing dedicated Human Resources technology.
  • Recommends process/customer service improvements, innovative solutions, policy changes, and/or major variations from established policy, which must be approved by appropriate leadership before implementation.
  • Performs system maintenance, including assisting in the review, testing, and implementation of HRMS system upgrades or patches. Collaborates with functional and technical staff to coordinate the application of upgrades or fixes. Maintains HRMS system tables. Documents process and results.
  • Provide support in the development and delivery of training as it applies to current, new, and enhanced features for the HRIS system.
  • Develop ad hoc reports within HRIS to provide to management on demand.
  • Create internal standard reporting across departments.
  • Conducts training, including developing user procedures, guidelines and documentation. Trains clients on new processes/functionality. Trains new system users.
  • Maintains awareness of current trends in HRMS with a focus on product and service development, delivery and support, and applying key technologies. Examines trends in information systems training, materials and techniques. Through classes, reading, CBTs or other mechanisms, continuously increase both HR knowledge and HRIS.
  • Understand and maintain employees' Data Privacy compliance measures, HR laws, and regulations associated with resource and data management. Follow appropriate change control processes and approval processes when applying updates to employee records and other system configuration.
  • Prepares ad-hoc and regular management reports.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required.
  • Five + years of HRIS experience
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Pivot tables.
  • Ability to create reports and dashboards using Business Intelligence (BI).
  • Strong understanding/experience with People Analytics
  • Experience working with executive leadership, providing data-driven business solutions.
  • UltiPro (UKG) experience required.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to partner with other HR professionals and business leaders to facilitate and influence decisions.
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct formal presentations of findings and recommendations.
  • Strong written communication skills to develop incentive plan documentation and formal recommendations.
