You will provide leadership and oversight to the Health Safety & Environment (HS&E) functions, activities and performance for the UOP Baton Rouge Facility, establishing strong working relationships with site leadership teams and the employees. You will report directly to the UOP HSE Director and matrix into the Baton Rouge Site Leader. You will be a key leader for the Baton Rouge Facility managing sustainable health and safety programs through incorporation of impactful operating processes. You will ensure the Baton Rouge site keeps in front of leading practices in health, safety and environmental standards.

Key Responsibilities• Lead the health, safety and environment (HS&E) function including: Strategic planning, budget management and leadership of HS&E Operations• Assure the ongoing maintenance of an effective HS&E Management System and maintain RC14001 certification• Develop and implement comprehensive programs of loss prevention, emergency preparedness, safety, environmental protection and industrial hygiene assuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and Honeywell requirements• Influence all levels of the organization to mature the site HSE Management System and promote HSE Excellence• Direct a comprehensive program of training, review, inspection, audit, reporting and documentation related to health, safety and environment• Liaison with regulatory agencies and external stakeholders• Manage third party project managers

YOU MUST HAVE• Bachelor Degree • 3+ years experience leading a site HSE management system

WE VALUE• Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Safety, Environmental Science, Science or similar field• Preference of 5 years or more of experience in engineering, chemical manufacturing, safety, environmental science, or related field • Strong oral and written communications• HSE compliance and Management Systems experience, such as ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 18001 or 9001• Lean Expert or Six Sigma Black belt certification • Experience planning and leading strategic initiatives with excellent project management skills• Demonstrated analytical, business planning and problem-solving skills• Ability to influence Site Leadership team• Ability to identify and action issues, requirements, and opportunities for improvement• Ability to forge solid relationships and manage multiple stakeholders• Ability to remain calm, focused, and efficient under pressure• Organized and able to manage multiple priorities effectively
