Your Role

This position will be a key player in driving employee engagement for Baxter's Round Lake Drug Delivery Manufacturing Facility. The incumbent will complete HR processes and programs as well as provide HRBP support to site leaders.

What you'll be doing:

Employee Engagement

  • Drive the employee activities committee; identify ways to improve employee listening strategies
  • Proactively communicate with employees and managers regarding HR policies, practices, and key HR programs
  • Lead all aspects of exit survey interviews and complete data analytics
  • Participate in local talent planning which includes implementation of function-wide training and development plans

Weekly Payroll and Compensation

  • Review, correct, and approve weekly payroll
  • Support Annual Compensation Review process; conduct bi-annual compensation review

Employee Relations

  • Investigate and resolve employee relations issues; collaborate with Employee Relation and Legal teams
  • Partner with managers and complete disciplinary actions
  • Coordinate leave of absences and accommodation requests

Handle onboarding process and new employee orientation

  • Partner with Talent Acquisition and Training teams to prepare for new hire orientation; facilitate the HR portion of orientation
  • Collect and review new hire paperwork for accuracy
  • Proactively update orientation and onboarding materials as needed and make recommendations for changes/improvements to the processes and programs

Additional Responsibilities

  • Lead and complete HR projects and initiatives
  • Run monthly and ad hoc reports for site leaders
What you'll bring:

  • Bachelor's Degree required, preferred in a related field of study
  • 5+ years of significant work experience
  • 2+ years of human resources business partner experience
  • No Cephalosporin or Penicillin allergies.
  • Flexibility to work across a 5 day, 3 shift operation
  • Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel (Advanced Excel preferred)
  • Demonstrate strong relationship building skills
  • Navigate the organization to find right solution and know when to raise issues to others for guidance; take initiative with tasks with little direction

We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all our employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. To that end, this position has a base salary range of $68,000 to $156,000 plus an annual incentive bonus. The above range represents the expected base salary range for this position. The actual salary may vary based upon several factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills/experience, time in the role, business line, and geographic/office location.
