Sr. Illustration Product Analyst

Job Summary

The Sr. Product Analyst will primarily be responsible for creating and updating the illustration software requirements. The Sr. Product Analyst will be responsible for collaborating across departments to develop a best of class illustration experience from a web based system interface to end user output. This position is responsible for maintaining a thorough understanding of life and annuity products and as asubject matter expert must have product knowledge and illustration system experience.

This position will be part of the Retail Operations Distribution Implementation Team.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Write illustration requirements using language that is clear, concise and encompassing for a diverse audience.
• Partner with Marketing teams to ensure the use of company brand across the illustration experience is accurate.
• Manage changes to baselined requirements ensuring product updates are implemented accurately.
• Host meetings with the vendors to walk-through requirements.
• Answer illustration specific questions in a timely manner.
• Define quality benchmarks that will be used to test the system.
• Conduct peer review of illustration requirements
• Participate in requirements prioritization and overall project planning.
• Assist in the setup of new products using configuration tools
• Lead and Execute targeted testing and sign-off on test results.
• Gather regular feedback form internal and external customers to drive continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with others within the company (ie: Project Managers, Actuarial Technicians, Sales, Marketing).

Experience and Education Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and applicable work experience required.
• 5+ years of technical/professional experience preferred in financial services industry
• Extensive knowledge with Life insurance and/or annuity product knowledge is required with preference for Indexed UL and Fixed Indexed Annuity experience
• Strong technical, analytical, organizational, and computer skills.
• Strong writing skills to communicate information concisely and effectively to both internal and external stakeholders..
• Ability to work independently or with a team.
• Able to perform in a fast-paced production environment while addressing multiple projects and responsibilities
• Previous illustration experience preferred.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).
• Familarity with JIRA or other defect tracking systems.
• Must be extremely detail oriented, analytical and be able handle multiple projects
• Team player with demonstrated ability to proactively identify issues and to influence key project decisions to achieve desired outcomes
• Self-starter who demonstrates strong initiative and is able to operate efficiently in unpredictable and challenging project environments
• Ability to interact with personnel at all levels of the organization in both technical and business areas successfully
• Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal, and presentation skills
• Preferred Skill: Spanish as a second language (Ability to write, speak and read in Spanish)
• Preferred Skill: Experience with creation and content management of Sharepoint sites

• Some travel may be required (less than 10%)
