Our team serves as the data security & compliance experts to thousands of people and businesses in the Hospitality space worldwide. We consult with both internal and external customers on current topics affecting the risk and security of IT operations and software application development. Serving teams from Dallas to Shanghai, we focus on limiting liability, reducing risk, and improving security across a variety of application suites and operational groups - ranging from mobile to SaaS applications, from field services to data center operations.
As a member of the Information Security team, you will be responsible for the coordination, oversight, and activities related to audit, compliance, and information security disciplines for internal and external events related to NCR's Hospitality business.
You will work with internal and external customers, serving as the subject matter expert for information security. You will work with cross functional teams from information security, IT, law, public relations, software engineering, and operations to manage the response to a variety of security related events.
You will need an expert understanding of SSAE-18 audit standards and principles, general InfoSec matters, and make yourself deeply familiar with NCR IT policies and procedures. You will use time and project management skills to manage yourself and others to list of assignments and report regularly on progress.

Areas Responsibilities:
- Responsible for activities relating to monitoring and responding to security events
- Provide oversight of activities of cross functional teams tied to information security projects and audit & compliance reviews
- Report status to management, executive leadership, and others as needed
- Advocate and communicate procedures, policies, and guidelines related to information security
- Stay current with new threats and maintain knowledge about industry best practices with incident response & threat management
- Develop security-related communication and educational materials, including but not limited to alerts, blogs, manuals, newsletters, presentations, and social media post regarding industry threats
- Apply security best practices and technologies to the incident response & management activities
- Assist in the design of new security controls, policies, and procedures to mitigate future incidents & improve response times
- Attend security-related training and seminars
- Collect and analyze data to drive decisions and recommendations regarding security standards and controls
- Engage with internal and external customers to discuss security-related topics
- Work independently supporting diverse set of goals across Global Information Security
- Work across business units to effectively achieve goals
Required skills and experience:
- 5+ years of experience and a Bachelor's degree in Cyber Security, Computer Science, Information Systems or related field
- 3+ years of experience working within information security programs focused on compliance with policies, procedures, and industry regulations
- 1+ years of actively engaging in SSAE-18 SOC audits
- Minimum 5 years of experience working with Microsoft Windows and network technologies
- Minimum 5 years of experience working with Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Visio
- Good understanding of the financial and payment card processing industries and the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards (PCI DSS), either serving as an assessor or as an implementer of security programs
- Understanding of information systems and security infrastructure, including privacy, cloud, and networks
- Ability to read and interpret technical documentation and diagrams
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to explain complex concepts in layman's terms
- Ability to research public and private resources to find answers to unique challenges
- Demonstrate creative thinking, problem solving skills, and risk analysis
- Basic project management skills with the ability to organize activities, manage task, and report status effectively
- Experience in incident response
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and within complex teams
- Ability and willingness to adapt and learn new skills quickly
- Possess a flexible, proactive, can-do attitude
Preferred skills and experience:
- One or more industry certifications to include CISSP, CISM, CIPP, PCI QSA, or PCI ISA
- Consulting and/or audit services background with a focus on information security and compliance
- Experience developing, deploying, or supporting Point of Sale solutions
- Experience within the Hospitality or Food & Beverage business sector
- Presentation experience with focus on information security topics
- Industry certifications CCFP, CEH, CRISC, GCIA, GCIH, GCWN, SSCP
