Sr. Information Security Specialist

Job Description

Help to protect IT security at Ameritas.

This is a hybrid role working partially in-office and partially from home.

Responsible for the delivery of IT security services or functions. Under limited supervision, performs all procedures necessary to ensure the safety of information systems assets and to protect systems from intentional or inadvertent access or destruction.

What you do

• Understand, support, and execute Ameritas' Vulnerability Management (VM) operational processes, schedules, and duties.
• Coordinate and participate with the execution and administration of vulnerability remediation activities.
• Coordinate and participate with internal VM initiatives and routine operational tasks.
• Coordinate the production of operational reports for management and execution teams.
• Facilitate communications and collaboration with other Ameritas teams and departments.
• Coordinate and participate with expanding and maturing the VM Practice.
• Coordinate and participate in the development and implementation of operational efficiencies and automation.
• Coordinate and participate in the creation and maintenance of VM Practice documentation and artifacts.
• Coordinate and facilitate elevated vulnerability response initiatives.
• Manage deliverables, change management, and traceability of requirements on moderately complex initiatives.
• Identifying measures or indicators of system performance and the actions needed to improve or correct performance, relative to the goals of the system.

What you bring

• 0-2 years of experience in a relevant field required, including:
  
  • Organizational, communication, and facilitation experience required
  • Problem resolution skills and ability to balance competing priorities required
• Experience with clear and effective communication required, including ability to match communication styles to align with the needs of the audience
• Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience desired.
• Experience responding to security tool alerts desired.
